I didn't order it. It was an available unit. Close enough in spec to what I had ordered at my local dealer but my allocation wasn't confirmed yet. I had ordered mine with a black roof, but figured it will be stowed most of the time anyways. Red is different and I think still works pretty well with the combination of steel brakes and the Porsche Classic Interior option.
Going to my local PPF guy tomorrow to get a full car PPF.

Given the current situation with delays and shut downs a Spyder in the hand is worth two on order!
My favorite shade of Chalk is when it has a darker / greyish hue to it. But then again, I like some of the other hues it adopts depending on the lighting.

It'll be interesting to see if it fetches that price. Market is hot right now. Sold my RS6 last week for $15k over what I paid after putting 4k miles on it over 10 months.

I agree, in the subdued light the grey really comes out, and as you say depending on the ambient light, like the setting sun, the hue changes... a classy and sophisticated colour!

They are out there and they look great....especially with the red top. I think the red top looks best on this car color.

They are cool but technically it's black and gold. Mine has been on order and it's been 3 months. When I originally ordered my personalized plates, the website said 4-6 weeks. When I completed the order and printed the receipt, I noticed the receipt said 8-12 weeks. I still don't have them and when I called the DMV, I was told they're now pushing 6 months.
I guess CA inmates have something better to do than stamping out our plates.
Back in the days, CA used to have blue and yellow plates. I wish they would bring the blue plates back as it might be kind of cool to get blue plates on my blue car. Might create kind of a monochromatic look. After all, these black and gold plates were brought back and they used to only be available for I think cars between 1963 and 1969. CA brought them back because they're in such high demand and so now they're technically called "legacy" plates.
