Do not know dates for 3RS yet but it is well over 1 year away. Crickets on anniversary RS.
I am getting GT3 Touring. Do not care about back seat. More practical wo IMO.
Also getting a 4RS. And to be strictly correct, I was getting a Spyder but changed to Boxster GTS due to wife's reluctance to manhandle a manual roof. Besides, instructor friend of mine swears the GTS is just as quick. He cannot tell the difference!! At least in a straightline.

I might be wrong but my memory says PTS usually ends well before a model is discontinued and if that is ending in about 6 months like I think i read on here, there is probably still months of GT4 production left after that. My guess is GT4s will be available still, just very few allocations.

^ that would make sense for GT4 production to remain going into next fall also. I know you said you dont know exactly what will happen but as someone who probably knows more than any of us, is your feeling they'll be producing GT4s next to 4RS's until the entire line GT line shuts down for everything, or do you think they'll end GT4's well before they'll stop 4RSs?

GT4 RS will rattle many cages with its reputed 500ps. And the 992 Touring will raise the bar that much higher from the 991 Touring. I assume both transmissions will be on offer.

Will the Sport Classic be a 992 Carrera S with 3.0L turbo?

Why? if it’s de tuned it’s not going to rev to 9000 rpm anyway so does it matter? Besides, I have always failed to see the magic in a 9000rpm rev line. If I hear one more reviewer claim...” and it revs to 9000rpm” I will strangle them.

I for one am really looking forward to the GT4RS for what it is, a perfectly balanced car like the GT4 with a bit more engine and hopefully some lightening to bring it closer to a GT4CS feel but still able to drive it to and from the track. good times ahead.
EDIT: my only true qualm is that I also want a C8 Z06 which should arrive at dealer at almost exactly the same time (early 2022) and very similar price (around $130k) for its amazing 650hp flat crank mid-engine v8 and I can't decide between the two allocations.

I think we may finally see the end of perception of limited production and dealers having the ability to play games. With so many GT or high level product in the market at the same time, the customer base gets more naturally segmented. For example I've decided after owning one that the GT3 isn't for me and I want a mid-engine track car with lower price point that I can use without as much concern. The GT4RS is for me and I've got my spot for an early delivery. But many will go in the opposite direction or up and down the list... that and the coming economic downturn should bring these cars back to what they were meant for... machines to be used not coveted. I'm really looking forward to the GT4RS for what it is, a perfectly balanced car like the GT4 with a bit more engine and hopefully some lightening to bring it closer to a GT4CS feel but still able to drive it to and from the track.good times ahead.
