718 GT4RS

I previously had the gt4 and did master not scrapping 95% of the time, but the FAL makes life a lot easier and the gt4rs front end I believe is longer. I am glad I purchased it

No FAL for me, grew up in the JDM age with cars that were way too low, so I’m a master at navigating around without issues. Also had zero issues with my GT4 for 2 years.

It's still funny listening to the novice street drivers of this forum bag the GT4RS's suspension when they haven't even driven the car. Looks like it was on rails in that video, driven by someone who knows how to wheel

Awesome! I remember their GT4 PDK video where they mentioned borrowing their friends car Warwick, which I can assume was you. They do some great content. The GT4RS looks like an absolute animal, very jealous of everyone that can get their hands on one.

Did you think about your post before hitting that post button???
If you were really following along on the other thread about the handling issues/complaints, common sense would tell you that was a pretty smooth track they were on in that video. The issues with the handling on the platform show up when the roads are NOT that smooth, as has been stated multiple times on that thread.
If my roads near me were in that great of shape, I would have kept my GT4 stock.

**** poor? A car that lapped the Ring in 7.09, that's 3 secs faster than the 991.2 GT3... yeah must **** poor everywhere else
You're analysis of the GT4RS's suspension is based on critiquing a youtube video of a professional race car driver pushing the car to it's absolute limits.... it's genuinely laughable. Also quoting savagegeese, who are amateur drivers at best....thanks for the laughs.
I'd take your opinion with some sort of seriousness if you had actually driven the car, but you haven't, so it's anecdotal at best.

Yes the road was smooth, but it was tight and incredibly varied terrain, uphills, downhills, large and short late apex corners. Cambered corners, off camber corners.
The car recomposed itself incredibly well, I almost went green he was driving so hard, smashing on the throttle and smashing on the brake, the videos don't do it justice because the
camera shows almost no body roll or forward / backwards yaw because there almost wasn't any.
The car was driven up some back country bumpy roads and it handled absolute wonderfully for a 2 seater sports car.
You are talking about bumpy roads like any 2 seater track car is good for them.
or perhaps you want to thrash the crap out of a track car on bumpy local streets with other citizens driving around?
Or like you want to buy this car to run to the shops with or something?
Whats you're angle with this suspension critique?
Have you actually been on a track and street in this car, or are you just regurgitating cherry picked comments on this forum?
Now I think about it, perhaps a Cayenne GT is the car you are really looking for.

I did not get the FAL and glad I did not. No trouble scraping, but I'm uber careful always taking inclines at a sharp angle. There is so much packed in a GT4RS, my advice is don't add to the complexity, forgo the FAL unless you have a very specific need.

The car i rented at RSR was the basic interior and it DEFINATELY looks naked and unfinish - including the upper door panels too. Also noticed on the basic interior excludes the little carbor trim piece - really plain. IMO go with Weisach or Leather.

I saw my first GT4RS in person on Thursday when I was at Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs Arkansas. I noticed there was no button on the console right side to turn off the auto stop/start AOS feature. The right side had the muffler button toward the front then the optional front axle button next, and nothing else on the right side. I saw this AOS button in many of the GT4RS videos I watched. Asked the owners wife about it. She said the engine never turns off automatically when coming to a stop sign and there was no button to control auto start/stop since the engine always runs even when the car is not rolling. I got home watched a couple videos and in the Motor Week video the yellow GT4RS featured also did not have an AOS button on the right side console. Can someone explain if Porsche did an update and eliminated the auto start/stop feature? I will be very happy if true since my GT4RS is being built in January and i don't want to push the AOS button everytime I start the car..
