it isnt a bad interior by any stretch of the imagination... however I bet once we see the inside of the next gen electric Cayman, we will feel differently.
But regardless, no one is buying this car for the luxury of it.

I think it can be upgraded after delivery with a bunch of money thrown at it, but when that flat 6 buzz saw is wailing in your brain, you may forget about the headlights.

congrats on your car.
I hear ya... its a first world problem, no doubt. and I certainly dont want to sound like I am complaining. but for me, this is actually a very expensive purchase. I am indeed cashing in many "man cards" to get to buy something that my wife already hates. However, that being said, I wanted it to be more or less exactly what I wanted for that reason. and its annoying that something like the headlights, which I think actually changes the look quite a bit, is impacted.
Now, I will add, I am reasonable and certainly happy to get the car. I just wanted it perfect is all.

thanks for the comment.

Yes...I think that for my intended use, track in my case, it's more than OK and has less gimmicks than the 992. I also like buttons for some of the most common functions.
I like to keep it simple and user friendly. As for the headlights...well, I wont see them when doing 9K rpm on the main straight.

Agreed.

But you can always install a mirror in your garage so you can see what you spent your $ on; what everybody else gets to see when you are behind the steering wheel and are driving.

In that case I would need mirrors all over the garage!
But with the 4RS aren't the tail lights what they will see? Even less need for PDLS!!!!!

Yep. But someone might be hoping you look in the mirror instead of ahead.

Yeah, I'm not broken hearted about the lack of LED headlights. The car will be my new track toy and will rarely be driven around town or at night. Now if the mag wheels get deleted then I'll be a bit more annoyed because I wasn't able to get them for my 991.2 GT3RS.

Agreed, the 981/982 will age gracefully as its wasn't fussy in the first place. Simple gauge cluster, simple controls and small infotainment system that is neutral and unobtrusive. Moreover, if you have body coloured dials and chrono - it sets the interior apart from 99% of other road going vehicles.

How much extra you all are paying over sticker for the RS? They are asking 25K over for my build.

People with relationships/have bought a ton of cars from a dealer have them at MSRP but that's very rare. SoCal dealers are asking 100k+ ADM generally so for you to pay 25k over is a bit of a "deal."

Nothing crazy, just under $170.

Sorry if its been discussed/reported, first I'm hearing of it/haven't been keeping up, but this owner comments on the significant change in pedal spacing ( @ 6:55), which seems perfect for left foot braking:

Wow. 25k over seems like a really good value right now.

And at 16;19 one can see normal spacing of the pedals. Guess he's never been in a Porsche with PDK before.
