Plus selecting the Weissach option requires one to select the leather/race-tex option for $2160. So the real cost of it is $15410.

What is race tex like, and will it be as durable on the steering wheel as leather? Alcantara can get nasty on the wheel.

It's actually similar but better than Alcantara imo. I have Alcantara on my GT4 steering wheel and the new Racetec in the 992 GT3. Alcantara is fuzzier and Racetec is tighter. I would compare it to shaggy carpet to berber carpet. I hate Alcantara, but I kinda like the Racetec.
