Yesterday I watched this video and Janko referred to an Spyder RS like it was a sure thing... I haven't read anything about an Spyder RS and doubt that Porsche would put more R&D budget for something that is meant to be a B-Road weapon not a track weapon.
Is there real evidence that an Spyder RS is on the table?

The best scenario for the platform would be if they made the GT4RS available to way more people and made a Spyder RS a limited numbered car to rake in the dollars. Then everyone wins.

If the name existed historically, Porsche is more likely to do it IMO... 550 RS Spyder
Attachment 1323488
It seems like an easy $$$ grab... I bet we see it.

The 718 Gt4 in stock form has a hyper restrictive exhaust, these gains are a function of well functioning parts but also a big portion of the gain is simply optimising an intentionally restrictive exhaust system. Gains to be found from exhaust systems now are larger than ever thanks to latest EU emissions and drive by noise regs
I personally don't, dyno numbers are meaningless on their own. Though JCR have posted the 50 whp over stock dyno on a separate thread already anyway. A Dragy run showing the slope and climatic data is the gold standard as far as I'm concerned. Beats running on primitive dynos and using fuzzy math for the crank power any day of the week.

GT 4 RS vs GT4 Clubsport
Is anyone knowledgeable able to elaborate if the modifications introduced with the RS will be transferred to the racing version of the GT4 (Clubsport).
The swan neck supports are already in the GT 4 track package and will be used also on the RS, the side inlets are part of the MR package ( I believe) and will come also on the RS... Any other commonality?

Paddock speculation is that there will be an "evo" kit sometime soon to help make the 718 more competitive, and it'd make marketing sense to correlate the Evo release with the RS release, but my cleaning lady is hard of hearing and sometimes doesn't get things right.

I wouldn't give away the GT3 allocation just yet (but GT4RS might be a better value)...

Could be that the 718CS now moves to the 4.0 as well.

But right now a 1:1 is possible since 1 Euro = $1.19 which as luck would have kind of cancels out the German VAT.

If 4RS costs 140k Euros in Germany, should be low $130k’s here (not $165k).
