The dealer and SA have a good reputation for being straight, they appear to consistently sell at MSRP, but I very much appreciate your input. It was my January build spec, but right after we spoke the SA asked me if I wanted any changes. I did and he immediately submitted it. No change in dates.
I guess we'll see what they say next week when I go after more details.

my ONLY concern with your situation is that it’s very possible they used your build code to try and get a “dealership spec” car that they can sit on the showroom floor and then sell for a markup when new GT4s can no longer be bought. It seems strange to me that they wouldn’t call you and tell you that you got your allocation. The stammering from your SA was a bit worrisome. That being said, it sounds like your caught them with their hand in the cookie jar and can’t really admit to it so they are giving it to you. I’d double check the build as it’s possible they may have changed things from your original spec.
I only mention this because in TYD it shows I have a GTS4.0 incoming. However I don’t. As I’ve ordered a GT4. The dealer local to me took my build order and ordered a dealership car. I’ve asked them multiple times to get it removed from my account but it’s still there and it’s currently sitting at Emden Port. When checking the build sheet, it’s slightly different than the one I specced.

So I have a chance to put a deposit on a GT4 (not an RS model) coming in next year. However they are at 25k ADM over sticker. Build is about 140k, so all in with taxes I'm about 180k OTD. I'm having second thought about paying 180k for a GT4, but with how rare the chances of ordering one are I've been going back in forth. What do you all think? Crazy or go for it?

I would not pay 180k for a GT4. Thats gt4 RS sticker pricing...

I agree with everyone above, I would not pay $180K for a GT4. The GT4 is so hyped right now, but when you think about it, $180K can get you used supercar territory which is in a different league. In fact, probably can get a used 991 GTS with N/A. So many choices at that price point...
