Honestly, I would still get it if I was you. You were already happy with it. Don't let some internet strangers sway you. In any case, I think in the current market you are probably getting a fair price.

Hi, sorry for the noob question. I'm in the process of trying to get my first Porsche.
When allocation are going to come out, is there any rhyme or reason in the process? Like are these allocations for the entire model year? The next quarter/half year of production? Or just basically random?

Being on a waitlist doesn't mean its a normal line. It just means that (depending on a few factors) the dealership will think to call you, if you so happen to be the next available. The things that can determine your place in line can be things like
How many people are in line
What sort of ADM people are willing to pay
the kind of relationship those people have with that dealership
and do those people have a history of buying and trading in their Porsches to that dealership
As someone looking for their first Porsche, be prepared to be willing to pay ADM if you want to skip the line at all. I know people who have deposits down for a GT4 at MSRP, however they have been waiting 2 years+, and its most likely because they are being skipped over for people who are willing to pay ADM.
My advice (as someone who is also trying to buy their first Porsche and is waiting for an allocation), get deposits down in at least 3 local dealerships. And then try and work with a few Porsche brokers who have relationships with dealerships outside of your immediate area. Be prepared to pay at minimum 20k ADM for a GT4 and 10k ADM for a GTS.
Good luck!

Little bit of it all. So as far as I'm aware, depending on the dealership, and depending on how well they do, These dealerships CAN get allocations every other month. The amount of allocations probably is determined by how many Porsches they sell. There will be some that may not even get any (depending on the car you want). This is why everyone recommends reaching out to multiple dealerships and putting a deposit down to get on a waitlist.

Definitely talk around. I think a 10k ADM wouldn't be impossible to find. it will take a good amount of searching though and you'll need to look nationwide (assuming you are in the US)

Local GM said no allocations expected for this week, maybe next. Chicagoland.
My impression is that those allocations were distributed at the same time across the dealerships.

I think I just got an allocation. Supposedly finalizing it this Thursday.
I remember some people saying there's a specific code I should get that verifies that it is truly an allocation and not just me being put on the waitlist. Was is a V200? Or something like that that? Can someone confirm?
