My (GTS) allocation came through at the end of December, so they are still appearing but certainly slowly. My dealer hadn't received ANY 718 allocations for about 13 months and then received several. I don't think anyone who can comment publicly really knows.

Supposedly, I'm first on the list for a BGTS (I don't actually believe it). Fingers crossed for February! I'll update if I land an allocation.

If I can help - I had a lead on a Cayman GTS 4.0 which has now been taken I was told but there is still a 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 available at 10K over.

I just took possession of my 992 TTS but I have an FL store that has a GT4 allocation. The buyer just backed out so it’s available again.

There is a 20K ADM over MSRP.

PM me and I will send you the contact.

Thanks much Clementine33! Good to get a view from an owner versus blogs and magazines, and the pic with both also helps show the size difference. How cool you all get to trade off anytime you want a quick switch for a bit!

Maybe at some point, but I think we have a loooong way to go in this market when people are still asking $13k over MSRP for a 2016 GT4 with 12,000 miles.,,,

Speaking of 981 GT4 pricing, will be interesting to see where this one goes. Perfect spec and ultra low miles.

Asking ain't selling, lots of folks asking for big markups and the cars have been sitting for months. If new configurable allocations can be had at $20k over, it makes zero sense to buy a 6 year old used GT4 for $13k over.

With the Fed about to raise rates in March, that's going to put a further dent in demand and could cause another stock market drop. Don't know that we'll see many 718 GT4's available at MSRP in the next 2 or 3 months, but we're heading in that direction.

That 2016 with 4k miles is already bid up to its original MSRP with SIX days left to go on the auction.

Without getting too far off track on this allocation thread. I think that some people will always prefer the 981 GT4 over the 718. It may not be the most logical choice, but I think they may appeal more to the enthusiasts. I would be willing to bet long term the values of the 981 will pass the 781’s due to a variety of reasons. Not everything comes down to performance. Nothing against the 718’s I am currently in search of an allocation. I want one bad! Porsche just makes the best stuff by far and its seems to age very well!

I have been pushing for a friend to get an allocation at our dealership. I have bought two new cars there and he has bought one. He wants a Spyder for the reasons most people want them....their beauty! The dealer has a GTS4.0. Their proposal is for him to buy the GTS at about $25k over original MSRP of $105k. That will move him up to the top of the list and will get him an allocation in the next round. They claim they will give him "most" of his money back on the trade when the Spyder comes in(at MSRP). I know what most people think of dealers. This one generally does their best to maintain integrity. He is thinking on it.

That seems like a terrible deal. Even just here Spyder allocations have been popping up for less than $25k over. I just turned one down in NC for $15k a few months ago. A friend of mine just got a Spyder allocation at MSRP in DC Metro area. To pay $25k over for a GTS 4.0 and be required to trade it in so he can lose some money on the trade just to get the Spyder at MSRP doesn't make sense. Even if they give him $5k less than he paid for the GTS4.0, that results in a net $30k ADM on the Spyder. He'd be better off calling around and offering $25k over for a straight Spyder allocation.

If that is what a favor looks like from that dealership, I'd hate to see what a customer with no history gets offered.

Exactly. So many GT4’s on cars.com / Autotrader are just sitting and slowly their asking price is being lowered. It’s the dealerships holding onto prices as long as they can.

Either my math is off or yours is. If he pays 25k over for the GTS and they give him $20k back on it(130k then 125k respectively) and the Spdyer at MSRP.....that is equivalent to a $5k ADM. What am I missing here?
