Preferred dealer invited me in to spec out a build and get an order at MSRP. There has been some attrition on the list so patience did pay, my place in line is shorter and no ADM necessary.

Will update when I get that all important commission number.

A big thanks to a few Rennlisters who contacted me with offers to build at their dealerships.

I got a call over the weekend saying my so Cal dealer allocation came up and they're ready to build my 718 Spyder at MSRP. Is that a rarity? I can't imagine they'll be able to squeeze ADM out of a car with a publicized 3 year run coming up. Will they?

I'd have to dig through a lot of historic posts and articles to find it but I thought the 3 year run was common knowledge.

AP said it in here. If I recall the quote he said 2020 and 2021 with maybe 2022 also. So 3 years wasn't guaranteed. The original GT4 was produced across multiple calendar years too so there's that.

Thanks. Production year and model year are probably getting mixed up. I bet they will all be MY2020. Like the 981 GT4 MY2016

I just advised my dealer that I'm passing on my allocation. Might consider a CPO 718 Spyder in 2022 if they're all that and more.

They all are made in 3 calendar years. 2019 production, 2020 production and 2021 few months production. MY20 and MY21 or all MY20.

This is the build I have in, still awaiting the commission number. It will be delivered this summer in Germany as one of 8 euro delivery’s with 7 other couples. It is a surprise Birthday present for my wife as she thinks it will ultimately be destined to be delivered back to the Porsche dealer as inventory.
