We all know that the folding spoiler is one of the 2017 Panamera Turbo’s high points, but there’s a whole lot more impressive technology packed in Porsche’s next-gen sports sedan.

To get a better look at all the impressive tech in the new Panamera, Porsche invited Automobile magazine to Germany for a little show and tell.

Like we said, there’s that Transformers-ish spoiler, which locks into three distinct positions, depending upon how fast the car is traveling. At high speeds, the wing’s angle provides “optimum downforce to the rear axle,” which at 186 mph translates to nearly 440 extra pounds pushing down on the car.

Then there’s the new 4D Chassis Control, which helps tie together various performance systems, including Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (a rear differential that provides different levels of torque for each wheel), Porsche Active Suspension Management (which “allow[s] the bump and rebound rate of each shock absorber to be adjusted independently”) and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (which ” electromechanically adjusts the anti-roll bars for stiffness”).

Porsche also designed three new Panamera engines for the new generation. There’s a 4.0-liter V8, which makes 550 hp and can help increase fuel economy by 30%. There’s a 2.9-liter V6, which makes 152 hp per liter while running 2.0 bar of boost. And there’s a 4.0-liter V8 diesel as well, but that’s only available in Europe.

The Automobile story goes into much greater depth, so check it out. Then let us know which new technologies you’re most excited about.
