The Spyder RS Production and Delivery Discussion Thread
Thought we'd mirror the GT4RS Thread of same subject. Essentially a dedicated room for Spyder RS V200 and beyond order holders.
With the release of NA Spyder RS allocation think it's time to have a dedicated waiting room for those that have allocations. Should have started this up once the European allocations hit -- apologies.
Intent is for discussion on production and delivery, with a focus on allocation holders to pass information on build process, constraints, delays, Emden Shipping, etc.
Also welcome are informed RL members, whether it's just dealer rumor on production/delivery or from one of the RL members that are active and work at dealerships.
This thread is not a Spyder RS general or allocation discussion thread. Just a friendly reminder we have a thread for General Spyder RS Discussion here:
For those that are at PSVMS V200 Confirmed Status please post up what you think is relevant to the community. Example Country Build Date Delivery Date, etc..
@Adrift has already discovered a constraint on Extended Deviated Stitching. Delayed availability for acceptance.
I'll go first. Located in the US, August 2024 Delivery MY 2024. No constraints noted, build loaded and accepted. WP, non PTS and not ED.
Edit; V codes in hand. Exits production 1st week May. In Houston a month later. Forecasting dealer inventory June 7th.
^^ I second the above, I was almost going to DM you for your insight on the SRS till I saw this. Please share some honest review.
Are those wheels the gold mags or silver?
Cheers
Driving Impression quick maze run ..
The spyder RS is really light. I do think that the package I selected is optimal for me- that is: WP, Iron Rotors for color accent potential, 18 way seats, Mag Wheels (cancels out iron rotor weight?)
The spyder RS is really really loud. It's the best sounding Porsche since the CGT from the driver's seat. This is not a debatable opinion- this is an undeniable fact. weather proofing OFF, bimini ON- guys...this is living.
The spyder RS overpowers it's tires so much easier than the 415hp Spyder or the 405HP GTS 4.0- it means you're easily over the edge on hairpin exits if you have ESC off and are smashing the gas in 2nd gear with a lot of wheel lock.
The spyder RS is a BETTER GT3 Touring than a GT3 Touring. It rides much nicer, it's louder, and you can take the top off! Sound, Storage space (don't forget rear trunk!!) make it an easy choice for an epic road trip.
I'd take this car over the 991.2 Speedster all day. I love the way it looks, the mid engined balance, the ANALOG GAUGES (RIP). That's my opinion- and I think it's driven more by my confusion on the aesthetics of the rear clam on the speedster. The duck tail is radical on the Spyder RS. it's perfectly balanced visually for me.
I really think it's the perfect convertible and unlike a 458 spider (fair comp) it is lighter, and feels hewn out of marble in terms of having a solid feel.
I did 1400 miles through Germany, Austria, Italy, Austria, Switzerland and back to Germany in 4 days of driving. I did not go completely deaf but it was nice to sit by the lake for a day after driving 6-7 hrs of twisties via Grossglockner and some other great roads.
Adrift, so happy to see a true Spyder enthusiast snag one.
Thanks for the poop on the stitching! I was considering another all yellow extended deviated stitch interior, but decided on just the Arctic Grey Stitching w/WP.
Frankly a little frayed out after chasing this car for 2 years -- so working on non-acceptable configs would have driven me way bat-sh*t crazy.
June build, July/August delivery. Pts. No cxx until mid 2025. And no effin leather dash on the weissach. I am putting my faith in you, Miyoshi Okamoto (inventor of anlcantara) and SONAX for cleaning because imma drive the **** outta this bitch.
Already working on some goodies for it. I have no desire for an exhaust on the gt4rs but I can’t wait to hear this one scream!
I have an email out to musicar so I can hear music over the scream. Working on seat inserts. Just trying to decide on inconel vs stainless. This is going to be one for the ages.

Texan Build Thread...lol.
Let's get a Hill Country Run together late 2024 Summer.
I don't think you'll have a worry on the Race-Tex. PAG designed it for this purpose.
I have almost 17K miles on my Spyder, most top down, and I'm not the most meticulous interior cleaner. Places like the Race-Tex center console look like brand-new.
