A 2011 just popped up on DuPont Registry. I know it’s not an auction but it’s a data point.

I agree - dead of winter is not always the best time to sell a motorcycle, boat or convertible. This will be a true test of the market demand.

I'm sure the missing bolt couldn't have helped and seems like something so obvious and easy to notice/replace prior to uploading the photos. I just think this one didn't 'show' as well as some other examples, but again, close to a $74k sales prices is hardly anything to sneeze at and I'm sure someone got a great car. The prior examples that recently sold for $20k more were both low mileage examples.
I thought the Red Cayman R on BaT would have sold for more (buckets, manual, fairly low miles), but I agree on the reasons you and others have mentioned for the likely reasons it didn't go higher.

I very briefly regretted not bidding at that price, but then remembered I don't need a Cayman R alongside my Spyder...as much as I would like to!

Yes, very nice specimen there. Extremely close to my car minus the black wheels and PCM. I think the black wheels look great and go nicely with the side decals etc.

Big price on that one, especially with miles over 50k!

Putting car auctions aside for a moment, look what bucket seats are selling for these days: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-39/

Last I checked with them, or anyone, the passenger seat wasn't actually available. Might be a handful of new ones kicking around but certainly they are no longer produced new.

5 hours left - will it break $70k? I’m curious how this auction site does compared to BAT. I had never heard of this site before this thread.

It’s been around for a few years but doesn’t have nearly the following (or final bid result pricing) as BaT.

My (biased) opinion is that this car is well-bought for anything under $75k.

It deserves to be above $70k in this market. Hopefully the traffic on Pcarmarket allows it to get enough interested eyeballs looking at the car to make that happen.

I would not recommend this auction site. $64.5k is a great deal.

The comment section has a frustrated bidder saying the site would not allow a bid of his through. The seller is contacting the website. Maybe the auction gets extended due to the technical difficulties? If not, the seller lost potential money and winning bidder got a great deal. Not a good situation if legitimate.

Looks like a comment got deleted where the losing bidder is pleading for the seller and the winning bidder to all coordinate so they can negotiate behind closed doors. All of this seems strange, I wish we could have seen a bidding battle.

Wow, sounds like a mess, if true. I would not be looking to sell on PcarMarket anytime soon. Or buy, for that matter.

I was very surprised that Spyder did not go higher. I was expecting at least around $70k.

I've even had issues with BAT. It'll show 0 seconds on the main page and then when you go into the actual listing it'll show time left. Or the time will be incorrect all together in the actual listing, or dollars will not be accurate. Many of my friends have had noticed this too. We'll all be talking about a car and we'll all show different time or dollar amounts. Granted, I've never bid, but this seems to be common on BAT.
