Yesterday was fantastic. The CR continues to impress me. The sight, the sounds, the whole package. The way you dance with the car. Everything is perfectly weighted, precise and engaging. Pure fun.
Are there spacers on that car? Wheels seem to have a bit more poke than I'd expect.
No spacers. The car has PS2's, which has the edge guard and does give the tire a more aggressive look and makes it appear like the wheel is sitting more flush with the fender.
I wanted to say thanks for all of the engagement on this thread. I’ve really enjoyed my CR and it has impressed me in so many ways. That said, I have an opportunity and I will be selling my guards red CR. Sad to see it go but PM if you know a good home it could go to. Appreciate it!
Best of luck with the sale. Has been great going on drives and getting to experience how good the CR is.
For those of you considering buying it, I can say that it's an incredibly clean car. I'm about as particular with paint as they come. You'll have no concerns with the quality of this car. We both have quite a lot of experience with different cars, many considerably more expensive than the Cayman R and the Cayman R really delivers most of the experience of those more expensive cars.

It's official - my friend's Cayman R went off to the new owner yesterday, so it's time to close out this thread.
To any of you that are in the market or have a friend in the market for a Cayman R/Boxster Spyder, I highly recommend it. It sure gave my friend and I many smiles over the years. The handling, steering, sound and overall experience was wonderful. I appreciate him sharing the experience with me as much as he did.
For those of you thinking about selling on BringATrailer, I highly recommend it. The main complaint I've heard from people is how long it takes to get your car listed. I've heard from professionals in the industry it takes 4-6 weeks to get listed. In my friend's experience, that was not the case. He reached out, a week later the car was live and a week after that the car was sold. Set yourself up for success when selling. In the case of Porsche, rent a Durametric cable off eBay for $40, buy a paint meter for $150-200 on Amazon. Ideally, if you can get the car on a lift, you should do that also. Then take 200+ photos of everything around the car, while pointing out any imperfections. Be an active seller. My friend was responding to every comment within an hour and was also posting daily updates about the car.
If you take anything away from this thread I would say it's to enjoy your cars with good people, oh and also get an FVD exhaust!
I will greatly miss the CR! It was a wonderful ownership. The drivability of the car always amazed me. It could do everything! Daily drive it, send it down a country road, sit in grid lock traffic, etc. the car never fussed. The special factor and community of CR owners was also unique and supportive. I’ve loved being a part of this tight knit community. I also loved nerding over the CR details and talking about it with other enthusiasts.
That said, I had to sell to move into another dream. I’m exotic car fan at heart and have had multiple. I wanted to add a dream car that was very hard to find. Since I’ve had many ask what I’m replacing my CR with, this is what was delivered this past weekend.
Roughly 100 gated manual Gallardo Spyders were made and I’m beyond excited for this next chapter.
Thank you all for the fun times, laughs and insight. @Bxstr and I will keep on cruising, just with a V10 now!

Just check out that car on PCA. It doesn't have "Sofa's" it has LWB's! Very nice looking R.

Oops! Thanks for catching my error. Got my for-sale ads mixed up. I just corrected my post, above to say “LWB”. I agree it’s very nice looking. The price doesn’t seem crazy, either, and miles are quite reasonable for the age (in my opinion)
