If you look at the SV's lap and go through the same analysis as the 918 vbox lap, doing the roughly the same times, their max speeds and minimum corner speeds are actually quite consistent. Both have corner speeds that are hardly any lower than the performante and in many cases considerably higher despite being slower by 8 seconds.... It seems unlikely both the vbox on the 918 and whatever system Lambo are using are showing glitches at so many points on the lap and especially through the dottinger straight as per bridgetogantry.
Wait till the customer cars come out, then it will be like the SV all over again........

This again - SV does everything it did the day at the ring and more. SV race exhaust Trofeo's on the way. The Performante will also have a race exhaust available it comes with the same Trofeo's from the day at the ring.

Embrace your Tesla Naturally aspirated mutant and let the SV owners enjoy their NA V12.

Rumor has it - a more powerful lighter 918 Duracell will be available at Best Buy arriving just in time for the winter Holidays

Different times on different days means very little - some people awhile back had this great idea to show up at the same time and race

Any videos?

Can be explained as very high temperature problems.

Two entirely different tests and times. The first was by walter, who put down a 1:30 something; the best one was put down on a record day.

We know nothing about salmon. He even forgot the extreme aero package on the ACR and left the wheel vents on the GT3RS. We dont even know if the tires were fresh or not. Plus, he doesn't know the difference between "factory fresh" and "stock". Before you ask me, yes. I know those are basically the same thing, but I'm using them differently.

That's my point, after my time in the standard car, easy call imv that the Stock HP will be even further off the pace from the "Juice" car.

What next Burt Reynolds going round in a Countach on cut slicks.........

Well, he tried to run tests in the same day (Hyper 5 etc). Gotta give him some credit.

Whats wrong with keeping the wheel vents on? It's like removing a wing/splitter for a drag race, thats kinda cheating. Keep cars 100% from factory.

You know if the other tests use fresh/used tires aswell?

It's sort of a big stretch to blame the conditions for multiple tests.. Or maybe it was just very, very bad luck that the SV tests were done under supposedly worse conditions every single time? For all we know it could've been the other way around and the 918 is actually even faster than those numbers show.

I'll give him an "A" for effort; nothing more.

But the problem with keeping everything "factory standard" is that your aren't getting the best-of-the-best. The ACR has much more in it than what is capable in street guise. The same goes for the 3RS with its vents. Adding the extended splitter and taking out the vents are either illegal or advised against, depending on which state or country you live in.

Take the ACR for instance. it comes with adjustable suspension, but what if they sell if with suspension best for the street, vs a track setting, and he leaves it in that setting and sets a lap time with it. Is that a fair example of the ACR? What about the extra components on the extreme aero package? Those are reasons why I say he isn't the best case when it comes to track tests for cars. He can't tell the difference between stock and factory standard.

In regards to the tires, it would be wise in my eyes to use fresh ones instead of worn out ones.
