Incredible run there.

What I notice on this Trak, is that cars that can't take the step up and down on elevation are dead. This car floated over it all.

Well done.

Looks very well planted in the video, unlike the Aventador SV one, which required big b*lls!

Congratulation to Lamborghini on breaking the record!

One more thing from mclife. Though, someone from fchat who has a press release, on it has that lambo has specially developed trofeos, but other members have stated bespoke corsas. So we'll see. Mclife quote:

The confirmed tire is a Pirelli P-Zero Corsa specifically developed for the Perf that will come standard on the customer car. This was the tire used at the Ring. It's competitive to Pirelli's own Trofeo R on the track, but fit's the needs of street use better. You can see this tire in some of the spy shots. I have personally seen the tire. It has a wider contact patch and is stickier than a standard P-Zero Corsa. 285 up front, 305 out back. This will be the new go to tire for even Macs in the future.

Impressive car and driving!

Are we coming into en era where the cars are too good?

IMO:
Looks like he is having a lot of tarmac on the side on a lot places. Maybe it is the camera angle.

Döttinge Höhe Straight: Impressive how stable the car is. Döttinge Höhe is very bumpy and the cars tends to move sideways, jumping around.

260 kph at the compression in Fuchsröhre - ouch...

^^ I know, that car is very good...

To handle the compression, the bumps and still so stable at high speed..
And of course the power..

Still it's an old Italian movie so I'd like to hear more real world weekend drivers that beat on the car for 20,000 miles before calling it a GT2RS alternative..

But man, Lambo, AMG GT and a couple of others are perhaps forcing Porsche's tiny incrimental updates to at least bigger increments.

Two Turbos strapped to Mr Purple would be more then a tiny increment...

I also converted the speed to 174 mph (280 kph) at the approach to Schwedenkreuz, which would be scary for me!

Camera placement perhaps. The much smaller in car footage shows the car/driver being bounced around quite a bit I think?

Maybe, but the steering wheel seems to be stable.

I think that would be scary for most of us

I do a little over 250 there in the RS and that is no problem. 280 kph is something else.

In the 997 GT3 it can be really scary since it is much lighter over the jump and tends to be a bit unstable which corrupts the chance to brake and downshift before the fast left hander.

Will the Huracán Performante be a limited special edition car or "just" another Huracán?

Exactly, that is most telling

Lambo has a hard time moving product in general, they always seem to accommodate.. and if not, there will be umpteenth editions of his car with similar movable aero.. this is just the beginning of the tech for them
