Don't let it bother you too much. If they don't know it's an R from looking at it, then they aren't going to appreciate that it's an R even after you tell them so.

This late in the game I would say dealers are still asking ADM and buyers are moving to other options. Was at Sunrise Ford the other day and they had a 17 GT350 that still had $10k ADM.

I've been considering a GT350R to replace my 911. I called 10 dealers this weekend with 350Rs. ADMs were between 10k and 60k over MSRP. A dealer in Richmond quoted me $118k for the car then tried to justify it...bwahahahaha. I told them they were in 911 money and they are not selling 911s. No reply to that.

Ford dealers seem to be as crazy as P car dealers. It is curious that new car dealerships despise the term stealership yet that is exactly how they are portraying themselves with these ridiculous ADMs.

As a complete irony the regular GT350 can be had at below MSRP and some dealers have multiple 350s sitting on the lot new.

When you read some of the internet posts on the issues people have been complaining about with these cars I am surprised these Ford dealers are not just happy to have them off the lot....oil usage, air conditioning failures, magnetic ride failure, cheap plastic interiors with a lot of rattles, uneven panel gaps, have to torque the oil filter. For your average look at my loud cool mustang lover, torquing your oil filter and checking your oil every ten minutes are new concepts. Granted the internet can make a relatively small percentage of cars with a problem seem much bigger than it actually is.

I wanted one as a track/DE car that I could run hard and not worry about if I wrecked it or wrapped it around a barrier and had to write it off. When you consider that replacing the engine on a GT350 is about the same as a new PDK that sort of puts the cost into perspective.


I figure the bubble on these ADMs will pop next spring/summer when the GT500 gets ready to drop. Also wondering if what seems to be a fomenting list of complaints will over come the excitement of these cars. If the Voodoo engine turns out to be a turd and has to be replaced eventually, what will Ford replace them with and then the guys collecting these cars for value will have a problem because without the FPC engine, much of the allure is gone.

The flooding market of used ones leads me to believe people are either catching on or the usual Mustang/Camaro stoplight drag race crowd fell for the hype and then realized these are not drag racing cars.

2016's with miles are solidly in the $40's. A used 2017 will make for a fine sub $50k track tool.

Yeah that's crazy especially for a non-R..... this new '17 R in Avalanche Gray w/ Electronics Pkg recently arrived in NC but unfortunately the dealer is asking over 80K (according to someone else's post).

The bubble burst a few months ago. Ford just kept making more because they are a "for profit" corporation. This is no different than Porsche with the 991.1 RS, 991.2 GT3, and yes, the GT2 RS. If there is demand, they will keep making them.

A Chevrolet dealer gave me 47k on trade in for my GT350 with 19,887 miles last July - for that I was quite pleased. I paid $57,465 in 2015. It's nice to not lose your *** once in while.
