The left rear tire on the RS was corded on the first session for some odd reason. So, we doubled up on the GT350R all weekend and had a blast - the sound is just crazy. In fact, I got pulled off the track on Sunday for loud exhaust. Hasn't been pushed to the max yet, and having fun getting there...

I should point out that the "rental car" argument holds very little weight.
Saying that you want something a little more exclusive, that you don't see in a rental car fleet, I can see. But suggesting that the car was built as a rental car then modified to be something else is silly. The platform was built with stiffness and lightweght in mind (as much as financially feasible). It's always been a line of sports car that everyone could afford. I'm certain that, as many compromises that might have been made to ensure an entry level, reasonably priced car, as least that many efforts were made that allow the GT350 and even the standard GT, to perform as good as they do for the money.
Rear End Stepping out on Hard Braking - cause? Fix?
I realize this forum is primarily for Porsche related questions. But, there are so many knowledgable members on this site that I wanted pick the brains of Rennlist. Here goes.
I just installed G LOC R12 front and R10 brake pads on my GT350R. Also replaced brake fluid with Castrol SRH Racing fluid. Car has 1400 miles. I bedded-in the pads the past two days. Then today, I did some testing from 100-0 and 60-0. 60-0 seemed normal and the car seemed balanced. Good initial bite and great stopping power. But above 60 (around 80 to 100mph) while braking hard, the rear end was loose and would step out towards the passenger side. I thought it might be a poor line (not driving straight and having the car positioned poorly). But, after repeated attempts and being careful to have the car positioned straight, the car continued to step out with the rear towards the passenger side.
Its pretty unnerving. I want to try to dial this out before next track day.
I did not really do any hard braking before with the oem pads and fluid. So, I do not know if the car would have done the same thing before the GLOC pads.
Anyone experience this? Any solutions? Thank you in advance for any insight.

That sounds like a brake bias issue, specifically too much rear brake. From your description it seems like the rear wheels are locking before the fronts which is quite dangerous, particularly in the wet. I would get in touch with Optimum Performance and ask him for some advice. He has sorted a lot of mustang guys out with G-LOC pads, I'm sure he'll be able to help.
