First, thanks to STG! I just recently got more active on my 991 search and this thread has been a wealth of knowledge for me.
I'm sure this has been covered elsewhere, but why are there so many more PDK 991's versus manual? Is it because the PDK transmission is superior?
I'm looking for a manual as a weekend car, but can be talked out of it if PDK is better (would also make my search A LOT easier).
PDK is technically faster 0-60 and more popular. Can shift faster than any manual driver. Sells a lot better too. Many new schoolers don't even know how to drive a manual as well.
I forget the exact ratio, but something like 10% of 991's are manuals.
The "enthusiasts" prefer more engagement and manual many times. They are a niche group though.
All personal preference. Obviously less cars to choose from in manuals.
I've really enjoyed my all-too-brief ownership experience, but unfortunately my back's ongoing incompatibility with the 991's 14-way seats has prompted me to sell. The 991.1 is truly a spectacular car, and she'll undoubtedly be hard to top -- especially since I may find myself driving around in a literal couch-on-wheels soon
Thanks everyone for making this thread a special one -- I've enjoyed following it even after making my purchase.

Wow, what a for sale ad. Very thorough. Best I've ever seen! Beautiful car too. Thanks for the alert to it.
Sorry to see you part ways with the car, but friendships last forever. Please don't be a stranger.
Just saw this pop up. No further details. I'm too swamped with work but thought I'd post a few. Call John. He's a friend of the HFS crew and great to deal with.
2012.5 991 C2S Manual with low miles. Hopefully a CPO too!
^^^ I would seriously consider buying that car if it was a different exterior color. Red, any PTS blues, etc. I've had two silver cars in a row, wife has a white car, and I need some color in my life. The two tone interior is phenomenal, love it. Great build!
