That will be some good hot weather testing, look forward to your videos. There is one other member who has probably close to 10 track events or more on this GT350 Track Pack - goes by "Bossing" on 6G. I think he is on here.
I really need to get some track events signed up soon, this car is trouble on the street!
Yeah you need to hoon yours on the track...
So far I have about 8 track days in my GT350 but unfortunately half of them were hampered by rain/wet track particularly at Sebring and once at PBIR. Anyway, no problems with the fluid temps... highest my Oil reached so far was 268 just this past Sat. w/ the Chin group. No issues neither during Chin's Happy Hour runs... my fastest lap time to date was a :32 at Sebring on a bonestock car with MPSS and stock alignment. I have a friend who is more experienced than me plus has an R and he clocks a best of :28's at Sebring so far. I know my non-R Track pack has alot more to it... with a faster driver of course I think it can do high :20's at a minimum but I already see my own improvements and sooner or later I think I'll be at :30 flat or close to it especially once I get stickier tires mounted.
My F pads are done... while the tires are not too bad. I have 3k miles on the car now w/ mixed public road & hpde track driving. So I say at most 2 full track days of life remaining on the MPSS. I said it before but the biggest knock on this car is the weight... it's still amazing since it deceives you (it puts power down well and handles great for its size) but I would be lying if I said you can't feel its heft on a track especially during hard cornering and braking. The GT350 is still an awesome car for on & off the track and the sound is unparalleled. IMO the GT3/GT4 cars are still the better track-focused cars though... but the new Shelby is a great bang for the buck.
Awesome, the price still changed. Question was regarding the R.
If you look back through this thread, the 2016 and 2017 price lists are both posted to compare, I believe. The way I read them, the base price of a GT350 went up by $6425 ($47,870 to $54,295), which is exactly $75 less than what the Track Pack option (which is now standard on all of them) used to cost, so there was actually a small price decrease, if you wanted the Track Pack anyway.
Regarding the R, specifically, the price went up $425 between 2017 model and 2016 for a stripper, at $61,795 vs. $61,370. The R option used to add $13,500 to the base price. Now it adds only $7,500, reflecting the addition of the Track Pack as standard equipment to the base car. Lack of availability and ADMs render this number meaningless at the moment, however.
i disagree, the base 350 simply has a package tacked on most people specced and Ford added that to the msrp. not a big deal but the fact remains, it's not a new model.
What is availability of current Focus RS's or ability to spec one?
I see a handful of 350's in my purchase area (south east nebraska) 2016's and 2017's but no R's. Ford's website shows them at MSRP but at the dealers it is varied between; call for price, not listed at all, or at msrp. But NO Focus RS's are pulled up at all.

Really awesome of you to share.
So many toys, so little driveway/garage space (3 and 3, but already overstuffed) and even less time to enjoy all.
I think this is as good a place to post this photo as anywhere on RL. I figure folks who are thinking about or getting a GT350 might appreciate it. AFAIR, this was taken in Sintra, Portugal, in 1968. We stumbled onto the finish of a rallye stage at a local watering hole by pure accident. There were a bunch of different cars and they were all dirty as heck. I see a Saab, a Fiat, an Alfa, a Volvo and a 911, but front and center is a modified Mustang, complete w/ roll bar, racing stripe, Minilite front rims, lots of extra rallye lights, hood pins and a leather hold-down strap. How cool was that? I didn't see many other Mustangs around in Europe during my travels at that time.
