[QUOTE=biko;13184826]This is a French manufacturer called Norma. 2.0L engine and very light weight. Carbon fiber tub. Paddle shifters. Lots of down force.

Very cool, I've never seen one before. I'm doing some research on them now
Are you pretty happy with it so far? Any complaints?

My crappy little barn garage project finally gets started tomorrow and hopefully will be done by Sunday. Very excited about it, though it won't hold a candle to most of the stuff in this thread. Can't wait to have a clean, organized space for my babies though.

The car is very fast, very light, and well put together. Very safe with a carbon tub and FIA crash tested and approved roll cage. They've been making this class of car for several years and the refinement as a race machine is all there. Even the latest wing bends slightly at high speed to dump drag -- a passive DRS if you will. Lots of room as I am 6' with long legs and the pedals can be moved even further out.
My wish list:
- adjustable steering wheel (haven't seen one yet in this kind of car)
- gear change without removing entire gearbox (yes wishing here)
Only complaint is typical of European race cars: they come way too stiff for the average US track. Thus a lot of setup effort required, starting with reducing spring weights, which leads to... then to... We are almost there!

That's all the matters!

There are no crappy garages! A space dedicated to honoring our favorite bits of automotive engineering can never be crappy! Good luck this weekend, looking forward to seeing the result!

So how's that wrap of yours holding up? Still glossy? Going to get some quotes this week. That color is actually on my list!

I'll try to keep up the contribution to this thread from those of us at the lower end... This is just a quick pic of one side. Basic stuff finished this weekend. Touch up, artwork and a few minor floor changes to come before I can photo the whole thing. But compared to the mess my garage was before Friday morning, this is nirvana. Simple, unfinished ceiling barn garage in a 60 year old Silicon Valley shack.
