Envious of all you guys with finished ceilings. My 'barn style' garage project is almost done, but I'm gonna wait for the last few pieces to fall into place before posting any more pics.

Anyone have a recommendation for a quality, rolling shop stool that adjusts to reasonable heights? Been looking online and can't really tell what's quality and what's not.

Naro, I had my garage doors fitted with hi lift units. I am pretty handy and I am fairly confident I could have installed the SECOND unit, not sure about the FIRST one. I suggest unless you are extremely handy to get an installer. In my case the door springs had to be replaced due to the necessary force required for the system to operate correctly. The installer used a special tool to determine which springs were needed. In addition the tracks had to be rerouted, easier said than done. I guess like everything else once you know what to do it is easy. Good luck.

I mispoke - didn't mean the high lift part, meant the side winding door opener (Jackshaft I think its called). they look fairly easy to install.

we already have 'High Lift' door on one side with the 4 post lift, I just want to replace the door openers, and YES we have VERY high ceilings in the garage... (I need a new picture, we sold the 993 long ago..)

I cleared out all the junk from my garage and now we're ready for the floors to be cleaned and prepared for epoxy.

Finally, got most of my garage done. Still have to do some baseboards, replace the side door and a small box under the window. Thanks to RobMyPro for the advice on various things and to whomever posted the Porsche photo that turned me on to Aaron Miletich photography. Love his work, photos don't do it justice.

Old barn style garage with the following.
Floor: RaceDeck
Cabinets: NewAge

Beautifully done Archimedes. I have the same Gulf # 20 from Aaron and it does bring life to an otherwise dead space. Great job on the walls.
