SwissTrax & small parts around the bench
Hey folks, I thought this might be the best place to ask a question about experience with SwissTrax. I've pretty much decided it's the flooring I'll use in my new shop but have one concern; how does is work right under and around your bench?
I'm one of those people who always drop small parts then spend a lot of time searching my shop floor with a flashlight. Seems like SwissTrax could either be a benefit of a hazard for people like me. On the one hand, small parts are going to drop into the tiles somewhere and disappear, on the other, they probably won't go far so the search area is reduced?
Anyone with experience care to comment?

I have SwissTrax under my bench and tool boxes. I have not spent any more or less time searching for missing items. The color(s) you select might make the difference as contrast is important. For me, small stainless steel nuts seem to blend into the concrete; however, they show up well against my SwissTrax gray.
All the best,

Thanks. I'm thinking about using the rubbertrax right in front of the bench, maybe 3 feet out, for some foot relief and they only come in black but that should give good contrast too. I just wanted know if stuff rolled away underneath a lot, sounds like it isn't much of a problem.

I'm hoping you're not being sarcastic I'm selling my house with shop in CA, it's side by side 26' (lift side) and 10' (machine shop side). The house has another "standard" side by side garage for the daily drivers.
I'm sort of hoping there's a real market out there for high end garages.
You can see it here:

The tall garage bay on the left has the lift in it. No interior pics yet but if anyone's interested PM me. It's a horse property (wife influence) but I think I've also put a heck of a shop in it and the road to and from it is, to put it bluntly, amazing. Currently houses 2 928's, 1 944 S2 and an Audi A4 turbo.
