Thanks all... Glad I asked, learn something new every day.

Vandit,

Yes, large washer I put on outside. Except the Hd's are not flush to arm as those coil overs...

Kept forgetting to ask, but I also want to swap out the OEM horn equipment and give it such more punch. Is it as simple as swapping the trumpets?

I installed this, it's a lot louder than the stock horn setup. Plug and play, just installed some pigtails on the included plugs, put a connector on the end, etc.

Certainly worth the risk with the size of those washers. :-)

Thats how mine are installed, without the spacer the shaft doesnt pass through the top mount square.

And out with the stereo amp and cruise control module, and cleaning up some maybe 20 yr old coffee or Coke. Nasty.

I didn't do much to the 964 this weekend other than drive it. Will do a few things this week - have an ABS pump coming, a new defrost/recirc button (it broke!), a heat mix servo, few other goodies.

I did take my 89 out for a PCH cruise with the wife early Sunday. I get home and close the sunroof.... "POP" (and my head goes FCK!!!!). I had noticed it wasn't sitting exactly right on the driver rear of the sunroof last couple times I used it. Well, I found the issue. And thank you Bentley manual...it shows the exact parts and how they are used for adjustment, found the little screw and a spring washer sitting in the rail, and a notched nut thing that allows height adjustment is MISSING. Crap. So pull the sunroof liner off and open about 1/2 way and start fishing int here with my trusty magnet reach tool thing... and FIND IT! Was able to assembly this thing while the roof was in the car, NOT easy due to the very tight access. But, have a properly aligned and functioning roof again. And while in there made sure other screws were tight. Oh, and fixed a balky rear slide electric seat switch with some contact cleaner. Old cars! Keep you busy.

Also, I ordered a T-Lock for the car, i should really put in my 89 too... mainly to save wear and tear on the lock mechanisms. I'll take the 8oz weight penalty LOL.
