Default Scissor liftt

Looks like I got the okay from the Finance dept for a scissor lift next year, not even sure if I am spelling that right.
I should really have had one years ago for the amount of wrenching i do . I hurt my back fairly badly a few weeks ago and although I am 90 % ( which is about as good as am going to get ) the wife says it is time for me to get a lift if I am going to continue wrenching.

Hoping to keep it in the 1K-1200 range. Not sure if that is reasonable. So i iwll be scouring the used market but if any of you guys know of places you have dealt with please throw out a name or link

All the best

Great idea Clive..... go for it... I could use someone with a lift near by! lol

Aside from all jokes. Have you considered a two post lift instead? I heard you can get them for under $2K in the US.

+1 I've been thinking pretty much the same, maybe we can get a better deal if we buy at the same time. So far the ones I've looked at online seem to be $1600+ and getting into two post lift $.

I bought mine from http://www.clarkessoutherntruckparts.com I have been very happy with it. Comes with truck adapters as well. They stock a good variety of lifts as well

Clive:

You may not have clearance for a full size 2-post lift. But you might be able to use this. There are a couple of 964 guys in the US that use these (no affiliation).

Just realized it's $2,499 at Princess Auto.

All the best

Most people use jacks to lift the car..... much easier on the back.

A lift is in my 12-18month plan, now that my wife's kitchen is done.... my turn !!

You see now that's interesting, as she doesn't look like a 'Jim' - nor does she look Irish!

I bought one of these in the group buy organized on rennlist last month. It was $1800 (the day I bought it our dollar was at par) shipping included in the con U.S.. I had it shipped to Ogdensburg N.Y., drove down and threw it in my pick up, paid hst at the border and saved $800! It was just under 900lbs and it arrived in 7 calendar days from California.
