Kind of exciting to be honest. The market environment the past few years has been frustrating and ridiculous. Unfortunately I'll probably take a hit on my 991.2 3RS but at least 992 3RS's will be possible to get.

I drove past DFC the other day and I would estimate that 95% of the parking lot and new cars outside consisted of Macans and Cayennes.

GT4RS at Downtown Porsche has been sitting for some time. I think it was listed at either 349,000 or 329,000.
Now at 299,888

Perhaps.

I'd put money on Dec-Feb being a good time. People will be unloading every month for whatever the reason. I think dealers will buy at lower prices due to market conditions with new incoming inventory. Bringing retails down, with more margin for discounts or price reductions due to a declining market. Albeit we're not hitting bargain pricing but lower pricing than what is out there today.

I just hope the inventory is there. Sometimes Jan-Feb is a baron waste land.

I picked up a CPO 991.2. The ones with the right options are moving, the bloated ones are sitting.

Also saw a CPO 992 C4S with 100k KM go for $100k in a day or two.

There are some with the right options but pricing tied to the reality a year+ ago.

Taking a bigger and bigger hit with each passing month.

Payments on a home trumps payments on a toy. I would never be in debt for toys.

If that were the case, I’d still be driving my 2007 335. I haven’t purchased one car in the last 15 years where I didn’t borrow, in part, through my line of credit. The whole “I pay cash” for my cars narrative is often horsebleep.

Yeah well we live in a country where our leader puts us in debt for things most people never asked for.

I never have to worry about having my vehicles being repossessed.

People have all different types of risk tolerance. You may be able to carry the debt just fine but it is getting scary for others with the steep climb in interest rates.

Also what is factual for cars like GT3's which some bought well over MSRP has flipped from paying low interest on an appreciating/very low depreciating asset, and now paying high interest on a highly depreciating asset.

Even for those who buy their cars with cash, previously earning 0% interest on their deposits, has now turned into earnings 6%+ interest. So taking that cash and throwing it into something that will likely fall in value vs. leaving it in the bank and earning interest has to have the effect of keeping buyers on the sidelines at least temporarily. Of course you can't always sit on the sidelines and not enjoy life, but when the movements are this sharp, patience can be justifiable, especially given that we are nearing the end of the summer driving season.

Just my $0.02

We finance/ Lease everything. I would rather keep my money than have it sitting in a vehicle, depreciating or appreciated I can make more with our money than whatever interest rate they want to charge.
