Tons of 911’s for sale!

Kind of exciting to be honest. The market environment the past few years has been frustrating and ridiculous. Unfortunately I'll probably take a hit on my 991.2 3RS but at least 992 3RS's will be possible to get.

Everything is dropping: cars, houses, boats. I think the toy department will just drop faster and more so than others. I talked to someone from a luxury brand (non Porsche) dealership this week and was informed that they are shifting focus on the secondary market from sports cars to SUV's and sedans.

Now seems like a great time to buy, So much stuff sitting around for months.

I'd put money on Dec-Feb being a good time. People will be unloading every month for whatever the reason. I think dealers will buy at lower prices due to market conditions with new incoming inventory. Bringing retails down, with more margin for discounts or price reductions due to a declining market. Albeit we're not hitting bargain pricing but lower pricing than what is out there today.

I just hope the inventory is there. Sometimes Jan-Feb is a baron waste land.

Taking a bigger and bigger hit with each passing month.

If that were the case, I’d still be driving my 2007 335. I haven’t purchased one car in the last 15 years where I didn’t borrow, in part, through my line of credit. The whole “I pay cash” for my cars narrative is often horsebleep.

Also what is factual for cars like GT3's which some bought well over MSRP has flipped from paying low interest on an appreciating/very low depreciating asset, and now paying high interest on a highly depreciating asset.
Even for those who buy their cars with cash, previously earning 0% interest on their deposits, has now turned into earnings 6%+ interest. So taking that cash and throwing it into something that will likely fall in value vs. leaving it in the bank and earning interest has to have the effect of keeping buyers on the sidelines at least temporarily. Of course you can't always sit on the sidelines and not enjoy life, but when the movements are this sharp, patience can be justifiable, especially given that we are nearing the end of the summer driving season.
Just my $0.02

We finance/ Lease everything. I would rather keep my money than have it sitting in a vehicle, depreciating or appreciated I can make more with our money than whatever interest rate they want to charge.
