EV prices +10-15%

The key word in your statement is "some" owners. Without a quantity, "some" is a meaningless number. Tesla has sold almost 2 million vehicles so like any car there are bound to be "some" dissatisfied owners.
Obviously any vehicle needs a repair facility; even a bicycle need repairs.
FYI, Tesla is number 1 in the world for owner satisfaction. You don't achieve that with an unreliable vehicle.
1) Tesla
2) Land Rover
3) Mazda
4) Peugeot
5) BMW

I'm doing my longest trip thus far in my BMW EV today... down to London and back on the 401 (~250km). I will be hogging the left lane and not turn signalling as any new BMW driver will be. Topping up the battery to 100% now with premium peak time electricity (15.1¢/kWh), and estimating I'll be using 69% of the battery capacity for the trip. It'll be my 1st trip in mild temps (forecast is 16-19C while I'm out)
241 km.
20.4kWh/100km
cruise set between 125 and 133kph
used 61% of the battery or ~ 50kWh of juice.
charged at a rate of 9.3¢ / kWh including delivery charges and taxes.
Total fuel cost: $4.75
Tire cost is going to be another matter... 200 TW tires on a 5000lb vehicle.... geesh

More fun to drive than a Camry. I just came out of a Model Y Performance for two years and 52,000km and it's a blast. Fast, flat cornering, tons of grip...
Honestly the thing I miss the most is just the convenience...charge at home and cottage, easy tech, phone as key, don't even need to press a start / stop button...just walk away and it locks and is off. It's taking some getting used to even have the proximity key and start / stop button LOL

I guess if you are suffering from short pecker syndrome, especially on public roads.
But go to the Tesla site and what do they advertize...."potential savings". I guess they forgot to tell the consumer about the actual selling price of the Tesla and you are worse off when it comes to "savings". LOL
Its so funny that EV owners need to make a case for their purchase sort of like Facebook users needing "validation" all the time. And by the way, the thread topic is EV prices +10-15%. Hell that will make a purchase and savings even worse.

It's actually a huge pet peeve of mine...the idea that someone likes some thing or another because of inadequacy. You'd think a Porsche forum would be the place where celebrating enthusiast values would be understood.

I think we're all into cars to some degree for the sensation of speed, no?
