I get there will always be opinions for both sides of the arguments and everyone is going to find an " authority" that agrees with them . Kind of reminds me of how lawyers always bring in " experts" to support their particular position with credentials. If nothing else its entertaining .

I ran into an actual person the other day that told me outright she is an avid Trump supporter and was convinced my vaccine was actually going to give her Covid, and her family were all doctors so she is informed and this was all about the 7 men controlling the world.

I mean wow, just wow. I get their are different opinions , but its obvious the strain of all this has really broken some people.

I just hope we can all find our way back to some level of normalcy. Regardless of your opinion.

If there were 40K Canadians killed every year in traffic accidents, we should ban cars. Fortunately the number is under 2K.

So the virus directly killed more than 10x the number of victims of traffic accidents.

Well said. The problem is that opinions are just that, opinions. But now in the age of social media the line between opinions and facts has been blurred. A perfect example is the link a few post above with that Doctor from Guelph. Most of what that guy said is un-true, yet the pod cast was very convincing if you took it at face value.

The reality is most people don’t want to hear the truth on anything. Everyone wants their own opinions to be confirmed by others, then begins the cycle of bias projection.

Its truly sad to see this un-fold here. This sub forum used to be a great place to talk about cars, cruises etc. Now it’s just another source of miss information.

IMO IB needs to clean up this regional forum and those who want to continue should move over to the Off Topic forum.

For our own collective sanity let’s get back to talking about our shared passion, the cars.

Relax! It was a simple typo. It was supposed to read 4,000 Canadians and yes 40,000 Americans.
Now with that being corrected, go and see how many Canadians pass away from cancer, diabetes, and other deaths by category.
Still no miracle 6 month injections for other human illnesses. Why?

But it used to be higher. Until things like highway design, vehicle design and laws were brought in to reduce the amount of deaths and injuries in Canada.

Relax! We should have done none of this and just let the people die! Just think of how many people die from other causes. If everyone died from car accidents, we wouldn't even have disease!

Sure, inject people with unapproved, experimental gene therapy injections now. Wait until the clinical trials are completed at the end of 2023 and see what transpires.

The alternative is to do the long term trials and let people die in the meantime? This entire thing is a compromise against time. There isn't enough time so you either get to a level of confidence that the vaccine is safe and effective and try to save people or you do the testing the normal way but many more will die.

The death rate for the horrific global pandemic are about the same as they were pre-covid. The only thing the coronavirus has been successful in killing off are common sense, logic, the seasonal cold, and influenza. The laboratory rats and mice are forever grateful for sparring them.

My father in law had Covid as well as some others that we knew... I still feel the same way. It could have been Pneumonia or 10 other things. The chance of someone succumbing to this virus is such a small percentage... More people die of smoking and obesity every year. Gov basically just enables these people.
