Nice ride! Lovely colour. I saw it advertised at CCS. Not a small investment Im sure (they were originally asking 269k for it although Im sure it was discounted quite a bit since the 991 GT3 orders opened).

I see Mr Wong has put his 996.1 GT3 up on the market (TM) for $85K. Looks like a good example...

Wheres Paul these days? Must be driving the bollocks of his "new" 911?

Maybe doing a 24 hour shake down in honour of Le Mans..?!

I think the 996.1 GT3 is Roberts?

Paul is not a frequent poster, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't keen to share the return of his car.

As for me, the return day must be very close. Pete Adler has done the suspension [reset front and rear ride heights, casters, cambers and toes] so as far as I know the adjustable rod to the clutch is the last part. It could be in the garage very shortly

Those of you at the M licence test last night will likely have heard that Andy Culpin at Race FX (Hampton Downs) is making fire extinguisher mounts for some people in the club. Apparently we need these to have two clips now, not one.

I just checked with Andy. He sells them for $140 including the fire extinguisher. I'm going to pick mine up on the morning of the 13th and Andy will fit it. He has made 11 and is doing another 12.

Can't vouch for anything on this apart from the fact it's a PCNZ referral.

I can pick up on 13th if I have money to pay Andy.

BTW. I have not seen the item. All I know is it attaches to the seat rails.

Look forward to seeing what it looks like. A reasonable price considering, but a long trip for you to fit it.

Just pray its not as ugly as the 2kg set up I have for MSNZ Targa compliance! Friggin thing weighs more than my drivers seat!

I have a sweet adjustable BK set up with billet quick release holds up to 1kg which I will be switching back to for NITT track use....

That may well be the case, however the new regs probably mean you need two in your case [one to comply and one for function and aesthetics].

Motorsport Manual Amendment Number: 35012

For hand-held extinguishers, a metal retaining system incorporating a quick
release metal strap/s shall be fitted (a minimum of two(2) quick-release metal
straps shall be required from 1 January 2013), secured to the structure of the
vehicle by a minimum of two(2) self locking ISO 8.8 M6 bolts with panel washers.

Any extinguisher, no matter how many straps is a good idea when faced with this

Since when has a long drive in a p-car been a bad thing! Actually I have to drive right past on Sat so it works in perfectly - otherwise I would have waited.
