I have in fact seen most of the examples. The silver, black and arena red ones were all for sale at some point. I contemplated replacing my 968 with the arena red one (EC30M) a long while ago but decided against it. Back then it still had the EKS transmission and i wasn't too sure if i was liking it.

I've seen your midnight blue C4S at Carworks and Andy's on a number of occasions as well. Very nice. Hopefully will catch a glimpse of it again some time soon!

Wow that must have been really long ago. IIRC that arena red C4S hasn't been offered for sale in recent years -- it last traded hands over a decade ago and the EKS tranny was swapped out soon after that. It certainly is the nicest example in Singapore.

My car is serviced at Stuttgart and not at Andy's (though I did send it to Andy's once in 2003 when he was still at Upper Thomson) -- perhaps you saw the midnight blue 993 Turbo or the black C4S. I do send my car to CarWorks though -- still the best groomer IMHO.

I see your car mostly at Carworks, could have mistaken the turbo for yours when i saw it at Andy's that one time. And yes, Carworks is IMO by far the best detailer around in Sg!

Do let me know if you decide to sell your C4S.

I'm actually thinking about it right now. Went to see a couple of 997 Turbos a day ago.

It's definitely gonna be a tough one to let the C4S go. Hopefully I can get a good deal on the 968, and then swap it for your 993 if you can REALLY bear to part with it. Then again, if you are replacing it with a 997 turbo potentially, maybe it isn't too difficult a decision to make after all!

But IMO the 993 C4S still looks better than a 997. Period.

I haven't made a decision, and the more research I do, the more the 997TT doesn't seem like the right car for me.

Judging from the initial interest that's been generated around a possible sale of my 993, I have to say that there are quite a number of folks out there who still like this model and even this particular car. That's made me think twice, and sorta explains why I am as yet undecided.

The fact that it's midnight blue and only a handful of C4S's left in Sg, or for that matter 993's, I'm sure there will be many people waiting to become the next owner!

I am also having a really hard time deciding whether or not to sell my 968!

Yeah it sucks that if you or I were to sell our cars, they would simply be irreplaceable. Unlike other markets, there are literally only a handful of these cars in Singapore.

I'm still undecided but am going to see some water-cooled cars tomorrow. They may make a better daily drive, which will mean that I will use the car more than I use my 993 at present.

Just got my car back from Carworks this morning. Looking really clean once again, and I'm definitely thinking three times about selling it.

By the way, I'm seeing water draining off the expansion tank of my car, but only when the engine is hot. It normally happens after I've driven it and parked it, not while driving or when the engine is cold. And it normally drains off to the quarter level mark. Also while driving, I can hear water flow running behind the dashboard area, I think that's where the cooling system pipes run through.

Any idea what could be the possible causes of this ?

Appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Suggest you do an advanced search on the 944/ 968 sections. May be something as simple as a clogged pipe somewhere.

I have tons of bills on maintenance and detailing, henceforth explains the condition of the car. Only let down now is the roof that sometimes fail to fold automatically due to slight alignment issues. Not that i use it very often to begin with though.

Just got the car back from Andy's. The water leak has apparently been fixed!

Bud, the 997 is at a whole different level... I have owned a 993 C2 and still have a 993C4s in Australia. Even a hard racer like the RS in 997 form is easy to drive daily (though obviously the clutch is harder and the gear change much more "MX5 like").

And quite honestly, after years of saying the 993 is the most beautiful 911 ever (and I still say it is a beautiful car), the 997 to me has done for me what I thought no new 911 would... it has made me realise I dont need a 993 anymore)... the 997 has all the right curves, but updated and modernised for today...

Buy a 997TT.. you will not regret it one bit...

Have seen your cab at CarWorks. Nice. Unique colour combo.
Bro you have obviously been tracking all the C4S in Singapore!! What did they roughly trade for?

Alternatively, if you still want that 993 feel, have you considered a 997 GT3? IT has the rawness of the 993, the six speed box, but with a far more modern feel, a lot more power and razor sharp handling that honestly makes the 993 feel dull by comparison...

And it can easily be driven daily if you are used to the 993....

A great alternative to the 997TT....
