Hey harold, thanks for the advice.

Think the last 993 C4S that traded went for S$175k. Pretty sure the fire sale price on any of the 5 remaining cars would be S$160k. The cleanest one could possible fetch well over S$200k. Just got to find a willing buyer, and a willing seller.

Still thinking about that used 997TT... in fact, my cousin just called me tonight asking about the car -- his friend is keen too. I couldn't do an RS as I need rear seats.

Yup my cousin's friend bought it last week. I think the yellow one is nice too... in a strange way.

Will probably just keep both 993 and 996 for a while, but may put one or the other at a dealer to judge interest.

hi there,

i have a 1995 993c2 tip. the leather seats are cracked and showing its age, can you recommend any place in singapore who can do a great job of restoring the interior leather? is carworks good for that purpose?

if i can't get anyone good, the next alternative is to go to 8cushion and import porsche leather and re-upholster but i would prefer to keep the original tho.

thanks in advance!

You'd want to consider Carworks only to clean and preserve the existing leather. I don't know of anyone here in Sg who can restore cracked leather, at least not to the high standards that we would like it to be! Your best bet is to have them replaced.

ah that's too bad, was hoping carworks was a leather restorer as well. anyone done a re-upholstery with 8 cushion or any other company and can recommend them?

You can try Hap Li Trimmings. I've used them quite a fair bit, they did a great job replacing my convertible top.

Heyhey, no luck with Jonathan at Propel?

I think there are a couple of workshops that do/ did those sort of conversions, around block 17 to 20 in Sin Ming. Suggest you drive around on a weekday or Saturday and look for a bunch of old Porkers parked out in front. Hard to miss actually. Do remember that some of these cars were converted after crashes, too.
