Playing catchup on RL. So, a few pages back made me wonder at what stage has a new delivery miles car lost her virginity Macca?
Good question Doug, one I spent a bit of time pondering.
Given its impossible not to put some mileage on them (they usually arrive at dealer with 16 miles before PPI), given moving them from NZ container terminal to compliance then to storage and add a few short customer test drives (say no more than 10-12km round circle motorway and some smaller roads), Ive determined that anything under 200km seems fair as delivery mileage. Maybe give or take 25km.
All my Motecca stock other than my personally registered/owned cars (GT3+GT4) are 150km or less.
You could manage less if you trailered them between the above locations but to be fair there's more chance of damage loading and unloading them than a careful 15km drive etc.
Is there some Porsche event on at Hampton Downs today? Usually don't come across any other 911s on my commute, but passed a grey 991 GTS and then Martin Dippie's orange 997 GT3 RS on the way in. Beautiful cars, the both of them.

The GT3 left OCD today and is now ready to sell. Cleaned up really nice. That will be the cheapest 991 GT3 sold for a long time when it goes. I need to make space with new s
