I'm in for the December date. Looks like there is a lot of PCNZ track day action as well which could be good to hook into and see a wider variety of cars.

You a member yet Dave? Non-PCNZ RSG members still need to join PCNZ to attend those. (Cue feisty response from Miller )

Pete, I've been a member since '89, but jumped in and out a bit on the way. Fully paid up currently.
I remember when track days were quite rare. Once a year with PCNZ and once with BMWCCNZ. It used to drive me crazy. Over regulated, too many road cones, too much talk and on the odd occasion you had good weather too much down time whilst a dry track sat silent. I just wanted to drive fast!!!!!!!
The modern RSG and PCNZ track days are much better.

Depends on numbers - I will lower my standards and allow non members and even Pcars if head count is low............

Good to hear Dave - so many things were 'better in the good old days' that's it's always nice to find we're on the winning side of something! I do miss the fuel prices, though I suspect that inflation/purchasing power adjusted we might still not be that much worse off there either.

Very Aucklandcentric... I remember the big expensive dinner a few years ago that was already "sold out"... I think that was the final straw lol. That being said it seems its marginally improved. I used to call it my "magazine subscription" lol

+1 for early Dec arrive and drive.

Also concur for non-refundable deposits. That is life and is fair to all.

We need reliable commitment or registrations will be treated as "I'm interested".

Great to see lots of PCNZ HD track action Paul

SITT getting bloody close. I drive the RS60 down to Wellington in only 2 weeks, fly home, then back down to continue after the Targa Bambina :-)

Almost ready.

I'll defend the PCNZ track days on the basis that it's 100% user pays and organized by the region. Absolutely no reason that the other regions can't do the same, subject to having the demand. Like anything that means people on the regional committees listening to local members and responding to their needs.

But I wouldn't call it Auckland Centric - simply reflecting the maths....

I plan on doing another Taupo session prior to NITT if anyone's interested. Mid winter, keep an eye on the weather plus the track day calender. When both align, shoot down and have some fun.

There was only 5 or 6 cars last time (4 of them were us), had the place to ourselves.

I run uninsured. Initially I don't think so, however I think Mark was covered last time.

Jamie........

As Pete says - these events are self funding, last year with around 40 entrants we actually made a small profit running these events at HD.

I would gladly run events at Taupo or Manfield, the problem is we can't get 30 people prepared to go to these tracks and spend $250 on the same day to make them pay their way.

There is simply not enough demand??

If you, Gary D, Matt B and about 10 others south of the Waikato can commit to attending a day, we will punt we can get a few PCNZ members and RSG guys to make up the balance.

It will also probably need to be around Mar/Apr to not compete with NITT.

Let me know.
