The amount of shoulda, coulda, woulda, bull crap that gets spewed whenever a video like this gets posted never ceases to amaze and amuse me. Sometimes I suspect that the motivation behind the comments comes from folks being in denial, and basically saying "it couldn't happen to me". The thing is, it can, and eventually it will.
I don't disagree you can brake a car by downshifting either, though I've never driven Sebring. I also don't disagree you can do it without brakes and blipping - it's what you are doing when you heel toe
Not sure why you guys need 500 posts to discuss - do what works for you.
If you have ninja rev matching physics will in fact slow car if you mess up and upset rear you are going around - whether or not that improves your situation is dependent on where you are and how lucky you are

As one of the pioneers of using GPS-based data and "intelligent video" (information written ONTO the video, real time or after) to measure OBJECTIVELY driver performance (instead of propagating your fallacies and falsehoods), I would not say that either VR or I "have got left behind."
As a matter of fact, the more I do this (and the more information I review), the LESS "set in (the) old ways" I am...
You, however, are outside all sample data...
It was a TA4 Camaro. 2011 World Challenge Rookie of the Year, which I don't believe you came close to achieving...
