The FABCAR Beast
Yes, it is a bear to drive, but also quite exciting.
The chassis was built in 1993 by Dave Klym, I put the 993 body on about 18 years ago in my shop. I have been maintaining the car for the last 20 years and bought the car from my dear friend and customer about 3 years ago. I only have time to get it out twice a year and only at Road America since it's close to my restoration shop. It is a 3.3L turbo with a manual trans. I don't really know what the HP is, all I know is that I think it's enough ha. It's all about the entertainment of being out there with you guys and being able to but it back in my trailer without any damage. I'm thankful that we were all safe, especially after the second red sprint.
BTW, Great driving Cory, see you next year! Nice video of my car.
Take care,
Dave

Three Wheelin'
Does anyone know who was driving the pace car for the first Green Sprint race? That was the best pace lap I've ever driven (ie it was fast). That person should be commended, and PCA should ask him/her how they did it for future reference. The second Green Sprint and Purple Enduro pace laps were different.
a) gets out of the paddock
b) gets bunched up on track
Much like the "dawdlers" during a yellow flag screw up a good race, anytime the field isn't grouping well the pace car will be slowed down for formation. I'm sure no one pays attention to me on grid but I always try to signal to stay tight when leaving the paddock during a race session.
You ultimately control the pace car speed.....to a point
