A consistent theme is first lap, cold tires, and close packed fields re. impaired vision and situational awareness. A slick track at Road Atlanta compounded those other factors. Some of the risks are modifiable (2 pace laps at 60+ mph, driver decision making/risk taking) and some aren't. For the most part people are doing their best within the constraints of racing and sh*t happens.

They need to go faster and rely on the pole sitter to bunch up the field before the start.
I really think PCA should have 45 minute races, this would allow for more warm up laps and more racing even with yellows and add more tire management to races.

That car is insane fast on the straights! I have some good video from the roof cam I will try to edit and post up. It's rediculous how hard that car pulls going up the hill. It was quite the challenge to get by.

Thanks. The "killer bee" is super fun to drive! Unfortunately the fuel pump handle broke during the pit stop so we were at least a 1:30 over on our stop but it was still a blast.

Great racing with everyone this past weekend.
Its always a great race put on by the folks at Road America and the Chicago Region. And many THANKS to the safety crews all weekend long!
My thoughts and prayers go to all involved in the cup car incident. I hope you have a full and speedy recovery.
I was great fun scrapping with Evan, Clarke, Niels, Wiggins, Jack, Doug, and all the other E-cars.
Buckley and Hupfer are in a different league by themselves.
Evan, it was a blast racing mirror to mirror with you in sprint 2. Send me your video. Mine doesn't show much (since my mirror was jarred out of position by the rumble strips).
Cup car racing has nothing on the competition in the E cars.
Great fun.
See you at the track soon.

Does anyone know who was driving the pace car for the first Green Sprint race? That was the best pace lap I've ever driven (ie it was fast). That person should be commended, and PCA should ask him/her how they did it for future reference. The second Green Sprint and Purple Enduro pace laps were different.

Perhaps the strongest field of E cars ever at a single race? See you all again next year-

A little late but here is a video from the first few laps of sprint one. Was fun trying to run down the fabcar turbo after loosing so much ground on the straights. That car is a beast!

Looks like the fab car still blows oil...
Always made for an interesting overtake
