VIR is a long track. Improvement in surface grip alone will be worth a second. Especially low grip areas like turn 1. Barber got 1.5-2 seconds on surface improvement alone.

I would say 3 seconds minimum by fall.

I'll bet you a race at andrettis. Lol.

It also means the gap between a slick/hoosier will increase over a normal R-comp like NT01's, etc....same thing happened at Barber.

I'll be there second week of March with Zone-2. Should be fun.

finally there will be a bigger E group... there are a couple quick guys down there that call it their home but ill be happy to see a bigger field
was a great track the way it was....going to miss that oak tree.
and truthfully i kinda liked how skinny it was in places....will be interesting for sure.

not sure whats up with the guessing how much faster it will be....all that extra pavement im gonna guess its 1 min faster and 2 miles longer.....yeh thats it.

im gonna change my number to 87...ive got FIOS. hahhahaha

No deal on PCA Zone 2 in March. Track doesn't reopen until April this year because of paving work.
First opening is first weekend in April with a member's day and then David Murry Track Days is first open event - April 8.

No, not true.

First Club Day (VIR Club) is March 6th.

Then it's very busy after that. I'll be there for ReZoom March 7th, Chin March 8-9, Ferrari Club March 10-11, March 14-16 Zone 2 PCA, NASA March 21-23, et cetera...

I am really looking forward to DMTD at VIR this year. Going to be fun!

Congrats on your fine performance at Sebring. Before the rotor cracked...

Looks like I might be at the DM VIR April event. 1st time out with the new car but at least I'll have Spencer and crew to babysit me.
What a combo: a brand new car, have barely driven Caymans, and a track I haven't seen in years.
Speed Bump Racing - that's me.
