It's Official: Lewis Hamilton is a COMPLETE IDIOT

Three Wheelin'
One of my fantasies is to see a season of F1 where all of the drivers are in the same spec car, with tire pressures and balance being the only adjustments allowed to the car. In that scenario, I don't think any driver would dominate the wins, and the points differences between the top drivers would be small. I'd give Lewis maybe a 25-50% chance of winning WDC, which is a lot less than 100%, but a lot more than 5% (1/20). That races would also be a LOT more enjoyable because it would finally be a competition primarily between drivers rather than engineers.
I disagree. There is a reason that F1 teams always have a #1 and #2 driver because of the fact the the #1 consistently beats the #2. Same car, same technical support and management and yet even in time trial qualifying quite often the #1 and #2 get pole positions in that order. Also, not to mention the huge difference in retainer fee between them.

Yes, Mercedes is the dominant manufacturer, but regardless, Hamilton is a consistently excellent driver. He's not astounding in any particular respect, but he doesn't **** up very often either. Even in the 2 or three races this year where he was mid-pack, he performed well so I'm not seeing the whole "its easy at the front" argument.
My question is why mercedes has remained dominant for so long? Is it the skill or the money or???

Someday, some will learn that the time tested reality in F1 is, the best drivers end up in the best cars! There is little denying that Lewis is the greatest driver of his era. Haters will stay being salty...

This 9 minute video does a pretty good job of addressing the common arguments about Lewis Hamilton and his place in F1 history:
I've cringed a few times through the years at some of Hamilton's off track stuff, but it's silly to deny his talent and achievements. You don't just luck your way into owning practically every record in Formula 1. He's earned it.

More to your point. The tire blowout that affected both Lewis and Bottas had very different outcomes for both drivers. Lewis still won the race. When you see the data trace of his lap on 3 wheels it shows him still going 140mph with a flat front tire . His cornering was still high to the good side. Talk about adapting to a wounded car. I have circled a track on 3 wheels during a race. It's hard enough in a GT car, an F1 car must be impossible.
