I don't have a dog in this fight, but have been watching carefully. Even if you can add aero similar to the M3s, you'll still need a new chip to flatten your curves (area under the curve = acceleration), and you will need to spend serious $$$$$ on motorsports-level Motons or JRZs or equivalent if you want any hope of running up front. Then plan on a set of A6s for qualifying and a set of R6s per weekend.
Someone with some political clout needs to call Chris Cobetto directly and get this fixed.

Did a little research Scott. Best time I can find for you is 1:25.2, which is really quick for an E-class car, but I found several GTS-2s in the low 1:24s, and I think you'd consider that your home track. Correct me if I'm wrong. That said, do you think a car built for SpecBoxster can be competitive against Jason Christ, Wonger, or Jim Khoury's cars by just adding R6s and a wing?

OK, so Summit Point does not make my point. The GTS-2 lap record at VIR full is a 2:09, I believe. I think that number will be very difficult to get to without spending a lot more money than a normal SPB build. I think the focus should be on fixing the problem with SPB and NASA so that the cars already built can run and have a well-populated class, similar to SpecE30 and SpecMiata.
The only reason I am chiming in is hopefully to prevent people from spending $5k in wing and spoiler hoping to be competitive in GTS-2, then going out and getting spanked and learning that they need to spend another $20k or more to get into the hunt. Scott Leopold, Tim Costa, and Mark Francis have all run Spec Boxsters in GTS-2. Ask them how competitive they were and what it would take to make their cars competitive.

At NASA Nationals with 30+ cars, TOYO pays $4000 CASH to the winner, $3000 to 2nd, $2000 to 3rd, $1000 to 4th, $750 to 5th. Now there is some incentive to go to NASA Nationals !

Now we need the SPB class to plan on racing at least a few events with NASA or all this was for nothing ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I plan on making it to Summit Point at least 3 times this season.
Nationals maybe in my calendar too. Never been to MO but what could go wrong?
