Greg, the driver of the car in the video is not Mark Kibort.

I know. I thought the question was why the driver would have posted it.

Incidentally, I don't think that guy rolled a Porsche. It was a Subaru club event at LRP, I think it's a Subie. That one went around like 3 years ago, and we all had fun with it.

I don't recall "fun" with it. Perhaps that is a matter of speech so for give me if it is, but the from what I remember of that posting, the overwhelming consensus was that an instructor should probably not be driving a students car and if he does, he should not be driving it at a high enough rate of speed to create a slide spin and especially not a roll over.

Perfect example of why it's wrong to post video and/or pictures of someone else's misfortune and/or mistake. Would you like it if someone else posted a video of your wreck, and folks online had "fun" with it?

Well, maybe I shouldn't say fun, but there were lessons that we very definitely learned from on that one, and that is the point. The guy is obviously talking to the camera, there is no one else in the car, so who says he's even an instructor? He makes a lot of mistakes leading up to the roll; off line, missed shift, without question he's preoccupied.
And as I've already stated, if there's a video of my misfortune, I don't think I'd mind seeing it posted. Especially if there is something in it that you guys would benefit by seeing.
Now I just hope I don't regret that this season!

Seems like 1/2 the cars have GoPros hanging off the cars...

Locally it is seen as very bad taste and possibly a ticket to non-gratis status to broadcast someone's else misfortune. Even uncooth to talk about it unless in hushed tones.

Been involved in a 1 car biggie myself about 7 years ago, it was spectacular, but dammit it is my business.

You need to drive the 912 again. Then I'll have two people I can pass.
