Petrov/Kubica/Rosberg...Who would have guess they would have been such factors in the race. Nice drive by each of them especially Petrov. Did a great job saving holding off Fred's massive ego er "talent".
Incorrect analysis.
The track was intentionally designed the host the final and deciding race of the F1 season (by Herman Tilke ... hmmn, that doesn't sound Italian to me) and scheduled by Bernie Eccelstone (...hmmn, that doesn't sound Italian either) in order to make it impossible for the F10 Ferrari, driven by "you know who" with his "massive you know what", to pass an F1 rookie.

Clearly a conspiracy that will be presented to the FIA and the WMSC,

There can be no other reasonable expectation other than ...

Could someone with connections to the Ferrari team (now that Sir A.Wayne is no longer with us), please get a message to Andrea Stella (Alonso's race engineer at Ferrari)....

Message is as follows:

Oprah called. She listened into your "coaching" of Alonso during the race.
She said Dr. Phil is out ... you're in.

My hat's off to Andrea Stella ... to have done that much massaging and stroking without any visible signs of chaffing?

To me this race was more about what RedBull did than what Alonso didn't do.

I believe that RedBull sacrificed Webber hoping to bait Ferrari into bringing Alonso in early and it worked. Once they came in early the race was over for them. They were stuck behind cars that had already pit.

Ferrari should've mirrored Vettel.

As for Vettel he drove a perfect race with the perfect car.

The gift that keeps on giving. My faith in humanity has been restored ... I just smile watching a butterfly float by ... I just wish Sir A.Wayne were here to share this special moment with me...

There is but one more thing on my list ... Sato driving in F1 again

Only one thing wrong with that theory. Webber tagged the wall with his right rear a lap or two before and radioed his team

Fantastic drive by Vettel. That part of my prediction was correct. I just didn't imagine Alonso being relegated to 7th in the final round.

Webber kept going and I believe the team told him everything was fine.

Ahem, I think you mean what Vettel did and Alonso didn't do or what Redbull did and Ferrari didn't do?
Apples to apples, no?

What a season and what a finale.

Two drivers stepped up to the plate while the others languished on the bench. Congrats to the end of season performance from Vettel and to Hamilton for going for it. There was a slim chance he could have taken the title but he never said die.

I generally avoid the F1 circus that has evolved around here, but the entertainment value of this thread is priceless.

Raj, I had the tel # available knowing the need would be great. A friend in need is a friend indeed.

I couldn't let you guys sink into depression without offering help.

Oh the humanity!

The Red Bull and the Horse? I love it.

Lewis? Lewis? This is your moment. I'm glad you won't be leaving us. Have you unpacked yet? Shall we call the chiropractor for your bell hop?

yes, the equation is now balanced. order has been restored. good has triumphed over evil.

As for the bell hop, I am going to have to call down to the front desk.
