"It cost you 100Million last time we met ... this time I only spent 100Thousand

Great session! Alonso did a great job at the end to get ahead of Webber, and with Button between them, Alonso is sitting very nicely right now. All he has to do is hold his relative position, and he has it. Of course, there are many possible suprises that can mix it up.

Super battle between Hamilton and Vettel. The McLaren might be THE car in the race. It was interesting to see RB's approach (i.e. Vettel going out late and doing essentially one long run).

Props to Vettel. I think Webber's relative pace shows that Vettel drove very well today. RB does not seem to be the clearly-best car this weekend.

This is going to be one of those races that you remember 20 years down the line with these four guys battling for the WDC. SV and LH in the front row and Alonso and Button in row two and Massa and Webber in the third row. They are really going to be fighting for the lead from the nano second the start lights go off. INMHO it is Fernando's championship to win or lose. Hammy will be right there to pick up the pieces I'm really looking forward to a real RACE. Come on Fernando

Alonso (246 points) will be champion if:
- he finishes first or second
- he finishes third, fourth or fifth, and neither Webber nor Vettel win
- he finishes sixth, with Webber no higher than third and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes seventh or eighth, with Webber no higher than fourth and Vettel failing to win
- he finishes ninth, with Webber no higher than fifth and Vettel no higher than third
- he finishes 10th, with Webber no higher than sixth and Vettel no higher than third
- he fails to score, with Webber no higher than sixth, Vettel no higher than third and Hamilton failing to win
If no rivals score? Alonso is champion

Wayne works on cars but does not race them. Wayne the Italian's know MS because of the numerous wdc's and constructor championships he has brought to ferarri as they informed me of today in italia. Hey I just sat and listened drank my wine and soaked up the local chatter. your probably right what do Italians know about their own country. Lol!

I am guessing Massa will do everything to get in front of Webber and control his pace.... Or perhaps as a "thank you postcard from the German Grand Prix", simply let Webber by and wish him well.

Do I wish Sato were in this race helping with shuffling and sorting in Turn 1...

+1. Hammy has to win and he will not let off. The 1st turn could decide who goes on to race for the championship. I can see Hamilton playing chicken with Vettel and neither one giving in. I just hope, neither collects another driver, i.e Alonso or Webber.
Webber has shown that he folds under pressure. This is the 2nd time in 3 races that he has not performed to his team mates level. He has the fastest car, what is he doing in 5th?
Epic race for the ages, coming up..

Hamilton To Play Spoiler Role?:

Michael Schumacher sees title long shot Lewis Hamilton - who in order to win the championship must win on Sunday with the other main contenders essentially failing to score - as a potential spoiler, and urged the Briton to play fair. "Everyone is focused, experienced and professional enough to handle the situation with an absolutely fair racing spirit," he is quoted by the Mirror. When asked about Hamilton's fast pace in Abu Dhabi, the seven time World Champion added: "I was talking about him when I spoke about making sure it was fair sport." Triple World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart rejected Schumacher's plea. "I find that a strange thing for Michael to say," said the Scot. "I am completely behind Lewis in charging in there."

This is just too funny. Since when did Michael learn what it means to play fair?
Did he forget 1994, when he took Damon Hill out to win it?
How about 1997, when he rammed into Villenue but lost the wdc.
What about that fake spin in monaco in 2006 to block Alonso from getting pole?
After all, he is a model citizen for playing fair.
I thought racing spirit means to win at any costs, lol. Take your competition out if you have to (Michael's Motto).
Is this the same Michael or has he been cloned?
Some nerve.
