Tonight's Rookie's race is VW TDI Cup at Summit SHORT config. All driver's welcome, just be respectful to the new guys.

Practice opens at 6:45

Qualifying at 9:00

Race at 9:15 - 20 Laps

Also if you haven't seen it Kevin's iRacing League is doing the Homestead Miami Road Course B tomorrow night (Wed) so try and make that too (or if you can't make tonight).

See you there?

No problem Gary, but I plan on running a perfect race if you're there.

Practice is UP!

I'll be there. Hopefully test driving them today helped. At least the street version. The wife is probably going to have one as a new DD. Anyone need a 2005 Cooper S?

Sorry it said your connection was bad. Were the other cars disappearing? Doug Crossman was in/out quite a few times but made the race. Unfortuneately I was starting second and the same odd glitch that happened to someone last week happened to me. Foot to the floor on the gas but the brake was full on, lifted and hit it again and off I went but not without carnage behind me. Sorry guys! And Vito, I feel bad about the punt but ya wanna block your gonna pay!

I call this: Vito in Flight. A video of the complete race is available here - http://www.mediafire.com/file/1ggzdo...ort 3-2-10.rpy

It was your bump steer kit.. Wish I could figure out WTH happened at the start, the replay shows me slamming the gas but the brake was full on.... I wonder if, in the VW with the auto-shift, you still have the brake on at the start and hit the throttle it won't release the brake? Will try it today, it really screwed the race up..

Anyway, come to Homestead tonight!

You might be right; as meticulously as they seem to have modeled the rest of that car's drivetrain electronics, I wouldn't be surprised if that's a 'feature' of the real car that has also made it into iRacing.

It was definitely a bummer that it happened, as we were all so close on times that it would have been a really close race.

Here's my suggestion for next time: try not to qualify so high, so that you're not sitting at the very front of a row if this happens again. Safety first!
