I'm leaving work right now - hopefully I'll make it home in time. Still don't have a mic.

No problem John, it was at a new track (VIR) and I messed up when I set it up and left Tows to default (which is none). That meant if you banged the car up you were done. I had fun running "with" Joe C., though it mostly meant him passing me, flying off, then passing me again when I messed up. VIR is not a track to learn 10 minutes before the race but given an hour or two of lapping you can do ok. Next week will be Laguna Seca in SRFs. I dislike the track but mostly because I never gave it a chance is my guess.. 1st hour on VIR I never made a complete lap either! Thanks to Joe, Ed, and Vito for showing up and especially to J.B. for NOT racing as he was running 2:12's..

Now you tell me! I would love to learn it in real life, as it would take me years to truly master it. LS is child's play compared to VIR.

Yeah, I tossed VIR into the mix to stir things up and as Paolo needs to learn the track... and he blew it off just to be with his family before a trip! Can you believe that?

I've learned it (at least to my level) in real life, so that should have helped. Actually the headset had arrived (and the wife had set it up and tested it by the time I got home), but I ran into some internet issues logging into the site and didn't get on in time. Next time.

Sorry I missed out last night. I've been looking for an excuse to buy that track. Maybe I'll have time to practice and join tonight's race.

Remember, if you buy 6 things at once you save 20%. VIR, Road Atlanta, Road America, Mosport, Daytona, and Barber are all nice tracks. I took a liking to the Nascar Impala SS at Daytona and it might even be more fun on a shorter track where everyone is in tight (with small numbers) like Richmond...

The Impala gets a lot more tough when you have to feather the throttle on corner exit and use more than a tap of the brakes on entry. Very fun but a very steep learning curve.

Tonight's race will be SRF's at Laguna Seca, would like a head count before I set it up please.

Practice opens at 6:00, Qualifying at 9:00, race at 9:15 (All EST). You must be signed in before 9:00 regardless if you want to qualify or not. I have never run LS so it is truly a novice race for me!

I also encourage all newbies to try Kevin's race on Wednesday, VW TDI's at Summit full. TDI's are a great addition to your cars and handle quite well, a lot of fun to drive actually. I have plans or I wouldn't miss that one!

It can be rescheduled until tomorrow if more can attend then, that's why I want a head count.
