Default WTB 996 wheel stud conversion

I am looking to convert from lug bolts to studs on my 2000 996 C2.

AFAIK you need M14x1.5. What length should I go with?

Thanks karlooz.

Now I guess that my WTB has turned into WHERE to buy. Any recommendations for online retailers that sell this stuff? I looked quite a bit without much success.

I bought my studs at Bildon. Use red Loctite and DO NOT follow the recommendation of torquing them to 150 lbs as you will read a few places on here.

I have a few sets of wheels, among them BBS and CCW. They require different length studs. Even the longest sold by Bildon BARELY fit the BBSs. The high temp red locktite is not enough alone to hold them without some torquing. If I really tighten them, the longest Bildon studs are not long enough. If I use the ones pictured above, the unthreaded portion does not allow me to tighten the CCWs.

So, what's the "correct" torque for these?

I test fit the this stud to my SPBOX and Cayman with stock wheels and the unthreaded 10mm portion didn't allow the nut to fully seat without some doubt. The wheel thickness between the back and bottom of the spherical seat is about 10mm.

I re-ordered their "black track studs".

Clean the threads good and use red loctite. If you do this properly you should only need to go hand tight with a ratchet. If you tighten too much, you'll just bury the shank of the stud in your hub.
