Ferrari to shift focus to 2010
The Scuderia Ferrari is planning to abandon the development of the F60 and will shift focus to next year's challenger. Team Principal Stefano Domenicali is alarmed that despite the efforts of the team to improve the car, their competitors are making "giant step" in comparison. The team is preparing to fully focus on 2010 to make it back to the top of the grid.

Interesting.
I wasn't sure the technical regulations for 2010 had been established yet...FIA or FOTA...

So their progression from a complete backmarker to a potential podium finisher in 9 races just isn't good enough? They want to take their ball and come back when they have a better one? Boy, that kind of temperament will be perfect for FA. I can't wait to see what kind of **** fit he throws if the 2010 car doesn't win right out of the box!

BINGO GIVE THAT MAN A PRIZE!!! That's the irony of the report out of F1technical. There are no regs yet. The only thing I can think of is Ferrari is going to front load their spending in the event there is some kind of soft budget cap for 2010.

Lewis and Larry, aren't you guys of the opinion that Alonso should be in on the development of the F2010? I mean it is HIS car next year according to A. Wayne and several reports. If he isn't consulted, there will be hell to pay

ROFLMAO! I really like Webber, but that's totally his style. He can be very Schumacher-like on starts... heck he did something like this a few weeks ago.

Friends of mine used to race him in carts and Forumla Fords in the 90's, he was then (as I believe him to be now) a very good defensive driver, but professional.
I think it would have been better if he didn't state "it wasn't his style" however.

We are to be the judge of "his style" not himself. He is a racing driver, of course he wants to win at all costs.

Yup, that is pretty amazing.

I will say this for Fernanda Alonsette, though. It was fascinating to watch how he caught up to Barrichello and Button at the end of the race. He was taking some radically different lines in some corners compared to the 2 Brawn cars, and he was gobbling up dozens of feet each time he did. It's fun to watch and learn from stuff like that, even on TV.

Martin Brundle commented on ITV that next year none of the teams will be using KERS. He also observed that in spite of the rules which were supposed to reduce the amount of turbulence behind a car, the engineers had worked around the problem and had more downforce (and turbulence) than expected.

It was a decent race mind you and I have admired how Alonzo drove in a car which was not very competitive.

By the way, does anyone have a decoder ring for Wayne's cryptic remarks? For example "WWF1" is certainly compact I have no solid understanding of what it means

Having acted as Sir A.Wayne's "parole officer" during his visits here from P&C, I believe I have learned a bit....which might explain the nightmares......

I believe he is combining World Wrestling Federation and Formula1 into WWF1....

Of course, it could also be that he is combining the World Wildlife Federation and Formula One, since he has stated on several occasions that Miss Alonso is often forced to drive a donkey kart.

So it's nuthin' to do with WWI and F1.
As in the Big One. The one before WWII.
