A day late and a dollar short, but I think Webber can finally crack it

OK, I'll pick Fisi- somebody has to, and I'm sure he was running really heavy in the second practice session...

Weekend Forecast

Friday is currently forecast to be mainly dry at the circuit. Sunny spells and cloud cover are expected during the practice sessions, but there remains just a slight risk of a rogue shower affecting proceedings. The cool breeze from the north-west, allied to the altitude, will keep the temperatures down - perhaps only reaching 15 degrees Celsius. Generating tyre temperature is going to be critical on the first day of the event.

Saturday looks set to be split into two, as the "Latvia" low moves away for a time, meaning some lengthy sunny spells in the morning. But, as the next weather system moves in to the west, the clouds will build and there is a risk of rain for Saturday afternoon and especially the evening. Temperatures will rise slightly as the wind direction swings round slightly to a westerly, taking the cold northerly element out of the equation. A maximum of around 18 degrees is expected.

On Saturday night and into Sunday the threat of rain increases as the next batch of rain moves in from France, across Belgium and into Germany. Showers and some prolonged spells of rain are anticipated as conditions deteriorate. Mist and fog could also be a factor, depending on how this band of rain moves on the day.

To summarise, the weekend should be mainly dry between Friday morning and Saturday lunchtime - albeit cool - with the possibility of conditions going downhill from there.

At least it's not a 'late' race so any rain delays will not cut the race short.

I can imagine a few who are going to practice their on track 360 mad skillz.
But can't really blame them if the car is oversteer/understeer/oversteer in the same corner.

Sir A.Wayne,
Care to explain exactly what happened to Alonso in Q2?
You may need to set your Alonso Excuse Generator to 'Eleven' for this one.
He was not the only person on track on slicks, yet he appeared to be the only one who...how shall I put this....."screwed the pooch".....at exactly the right time.

I'm sure Luca was watching and perhaps had a 'moment of pause'

Let me know when you are ready to bet little one ......................

How is Silver Spoon doing ? . Barrichello a little harder to beat without team orders, huh !

If it rains , I expect a full moon walk from Silver spoon .................

ITC:
I'm sure you saw what happened to FA , the answer is academic, no need for your usual pandemic, the Spaniard like's his cart , now watch his art , even you know he is still the best, Ask Stoolmacher , ask Luca , ask the rest , I'm sure they will attest ..Now watch the start , as Ray's Faux Champion falls apart , sprinkles he does not like , is that Barrichello in his sight .

Webbo -
Hammy -
Rubins -
Gents:
Wet race , watch the pace , the ones with Galoches go in haste , they appear to walk on water as Larry and Ray's UB40 Champion falter ...

That's all for now my likkle ones ..............................

Qualifying was exciting, but seeing the rise of Red Bull is simply awesome. Of course, I would love to see Vettel upset the apple cart, but on the other hand Ross Brawn is a guy you have to cheer for. If only he could get Button to a barbershop.

P.S.: if it rains tomorrow, all bets are off. Hamilton may finish P3 behind Vettel and Weber. Those Red Bulls have always done well in the rain.

+1 Nicely done. Webber seems to be a pretty good dude. Has had his share of heart-ache through the years.

Jenk, what's the word on the car? It is totaled?

Webber is often described as 'difficult to pass'.
Starting from pole should be interesting if he keeps the lead thru the first turn.

He didn't choke.
Clearly the team, chassis and tires let him down.
Everyone else who was on slicks who didn't spin at the end of Q2 were all just lucky, cheating and didn't deserve to be on the same track as the sport's first 2X female WDC.

Surprised to hear that a 19 year old Spaniard will likely be replacing Bourdais at Toro Rosso for the next race?
