So vot vill last ditch desperation Bourdais do at this race.
Crash into another driver.
Punt himself off into the weeds at lightning speed in the rain.

With his F1 resume, don't think he'll be getting another F1 ride soon.

Everyone else who was on slicks who didn't spin at the end of Q2 were all just lucky, cheating and didn't deserve to be on the same track as the sport's first 2X female WDC.
There were plenty of drivers out there at the same time also on slicks who still put in times that put them through to Q3. He braked too late and spun, plain and simple. In F1 (the absolute pinnacle of driving) that's a choke.

Some would call it a brilliant tactical move, thus allowing Alonso to pick a fuel strategy....oh wait, Alonso always runs the first stint with the lightest possible fuel load....so the spin must have been to impress Luca (soon to be new boss)....no wait, that's not it either.

As I mentioned earlier, even if you turn the Alonso PR Spin Machine up to 'Eleven', it still doesn't change what you said....

Choke.

I expect the Brawns to fade, especially at the start of the race when the tires have been sitting on the grid. Too cold, too wet for the Brawns to make a difference. The question is can Vettel catch Webber who will be off and building a lead in clear and clean air. I think he can, especially if the rain comes down hard and we get a SC period.

Sutil heavier than Ferrari but Button lightest car
11 July 2009 / Results

As always, governing body the FIA revealed the weights of the 20 cars after qualifying on Saturday evening. The results make for interesting reading, as seventh-placed Adrian Sutil qualified quicker than the Ferrari cars despite carrying a greater amount of fuel and Rubens Barrichello did likewise with team-mate Jenson Button, who will have the lightest car at the start of the race. Red Bull pilots Sebastian Vettel and pole winner Mark Webber are carrying identical fuel loads.

- Lightest car: Jenson Button / Brawn - 3rd - 644.0kg
- Heaviest car: Nico Rosberg / Williams - 15th - 689.6kg

Post-qualifying car weights:

1 - Mark Webber / Red Bull = 661.0kg **
2 - Rubens Barrichello / Brawn = 647.0kg
3 - Jenson Button / Brawn = 644.0kg *
4 - Sebastian Vettel / Red Bull = 661.0kg **
5 - Lewis Hamilton / McLaren = 654.5kg *
6 - Heikki Kovalainen / McLaren = 664.0kg
7 - Adrian Sutil / Force India = 678.5kg
8 - Felipe Massa / Ferrari = 673.5kg *
9 - Kimi Räikkönen / Ferrari = 674.0kg
10 - Nelson Piquet / Renault = 676.0kg
11 - Nick Heidfeld / BMW = 681.0kg
12 - Fernando Alonso / Renault = 668.2kg *
13 - Kazuki Nakajima / Williams = 683.6kg *
14 - Jarno Trulli / Toyota = 683.7kg
15 - Nico Rosberg / Williams = 689.6kg
16 - Robert Kubica / BMW = 673.5kg *
17 - Sébastien Buemi / Toro Rosso = 674.5kg *
18 - Giancarlo Fisichella / Force India = 662.5kg *
19 - Sébastien Bourdais / Toro Rosso = 689.5kg
20 - Timo Glock / Toyota = 662.3kg *

* Lightest of the team's two cars (first to pit under normal circumstances)

One team has filled one driver with significantly less fuel (than her teamate) every race so far this year. Any guess which team that is....

With Webber and Vettel running identical fuel loads, I wonder how the decision will be made on who to pit first.

Webber should pit 2nd based on his higher qualification position. If he pits 1st without any solid reason to do so, then obviously Vettel is the defacto leader of the team.

Is it the team with the only female driver on the grid?

I agree, unless Vettel gets a phenominal start and gets in front before the first stop.

But wouldn't Webber be burning more fuel because he's going faster in open track (assuming he gets through the first turn in P1)? I'm assuming Vettel will be stuck behind at least 1 Brawn, possibly more, going slower and burning less fuel and he would come in 2nd.

Couple this with the fact that both Brawns are lighter on fuel, if Vettel can't get by lap 2, he might have to wait until they pit and then make up time.

I don't think Vettel is the leader yet. Webber is too close in the points and either one could be a factor coming down the stretch of this season.
