I have not but find it interesting that a number of non Potomac members have. In addition it appears that others in the Red group have not recieved any confirmation. I welcome everyone from the other regions as I participate in their functions but, I was "just wondering."

Look forward to seeing you there but who knows!!!!

I received an e-mail from Tuffy yesterday and he said they were full in the instructor group with a long waiting list...bummer!!

That's what happens when you shoot off your mouth Gary, jeez! Saying you're gonna come down here and run 1:25's just sounds reckless

You know the funny thing is I have NO idea what the average lap times are in each group. Enough smack and people start to believe it.

The new pavement is at a minimum 2 seconds faster than last year. With clear track it is a hoot. Here is a couple of laps from last November, all in the mid to high 1:26 except for the last one with traffic. Prior to the new pavement I was lucky to get in the 1:29 range. I have read some posts from last week that says turns 5-7 is starting to turn back into it's bumpy self. Bummer!

Seems I wont be in white...

They didn't get me updated in time, so it's either "run in blue" or wait-list in white. I chose blue because I want track time and will roll the dice. Sorry Gary R. Won't be able to hold you up!!!

Damn, hope you can make it back up to Summit this year. Would be good to see one of the VIR regulars up here.

I found exactly 1 second, to the tenth. 2 would be great, maybe in a few weeks.

Mike I went through the same thing when I started. I was in green w/ Potomac (only one event w/ them) and then got promoted to blue at Z2....but that promotion didn't stick w/ Potomac and I understand why. Not all promotions are equal between chapters.

So...I might be wrong, but I think you still have to get signed off for white in Potomac, which doesn't sound like it will be a problem.

That's ok Mike, with me running 1:10's with my 78 SC everyone is going to just have to stay so alert that it won't be fun in White anyway.

With my new 438 HP motor I need to break her in slowly so I don't rip off a CV joint or tear a wheel apart. I have her down to 1761 LB now (with driver and a full tank) so Dan said I might twist an axle but it shouldn't break. I just took it up my road and got pulled over for doing 62 in a 30.. I was only 100 feet out of my driveway in 1st gear...

...I'm on the waiting list but my chances are slim at this point. When are you at VIR next?
