I have to agree that not only are the trophies from Mosport very nice but the embroydered black pull over they gave out a couple of years ago is by far the most worn piece of PCA clothing I have.

Im going to take this whole thing up a notch and also suggest that there be some type of points system in PCA Club Racing that at the end of the year rewards the best drivers in class (that choose to participate) on the east coast, mid-country and west coast. The whole idea of PCA Club Racing being "gentelmen racing" is bull and anyone who takes it as seriously as I do and as many of my friends do knows what Im talking about. For the most part there are very talanted, sometimes even Pro, drivers at every event I've attended. They aint doing this just for fun!!

I'm not sure what you mean by that. PCA is an organization of members, and it's function is to serve it's members through whatever events those members desire. Club Racing is not a item of prestige for the club, it is an program created for the benefit of it's members. And if the participants want trophies, I find it quite interesting that there would be resistance in PCA. Makes you wonder what the powers that be really feel about our program.

I think that's a great idea Tim, and I would certainly support it. However, I really don't see it happening any time soon. If that's what you want I would suggest NASA GTS. They offer regional championships and a national championship at the end of the year.

Did not Chair the Sebring race so can't tell what went on there, can only relay what happened at the Potomac races the 2 years I Chaired at Summit. Why the inconsistency, I could not answer.

Agreed. The record book was key. Who do I write to to complain.

I'm finishing up my combo PCA G / NASA GTS2 car this winter and will run both series where I can next year.

I've always been told, if you don't like how something is done in a volunteer organization.. then volunteer to fix it, rather than complain about it. I am suprised to read that some kind of trophy isn't handed out consistently to class/podium winners. Then again, considering how much money some folks spend for their "win" they could just buy a trohpy they feel is appropriate as well.

I have a feeling the field will be bigger next year, but you would have had fun - tired motor and all.

Yeah, but after I oiled the track with my 930 all I could envision is something letting go (like a rod out the side of the case) on the SC and ruining a LOT of peoples days.. I'm hoping for Road Atlanta in the Spring, then forward ho!
